8. In what sport would a participant, at various times, use a jigger, spoon, brassie, or wedge?

Answer: golf

The "jigger" is a four-iron. A "spoon" is a three-wood. A "brassie" is the term for a two-wood, and a "wedge" is a ten-iron.
In golf, the lower the number of the club, the farther the ball hit with that club will travel, if you hit it correctly. Thus, a one-wood ("driver") is typically used to "tee off" or start the hole on a par four or five hole. A wedge (pitching or sand wedge, for example) is typically used around the green and gives the golfer a short, high-arcing shot.
