Sisler had a career average of .340 playing 15 seasons of baseball from 1915-1930 primarily with the St.Louis Browns.

Answer: Joe DiMaggio

DiMaggio won two titles for the Yankees in 1939 and 1940. He batted .381 in 1939 and .352 in 1940. In 1941 he batted .357 but did not win the title.
