Baseball is played on a field. However, it is the pitcher that stands on the mound to start the game by throwing the baseball to the catcher and trying to beat the batter. The mound is an artifical hill and on top of the mound is a white rubber plate and from the front of it to the rear of the home plate the distance is exactly 60ft 6inc(18.44m).

The home of cricket is Lord's cricket ground in a London. The playing field is approximately 137m x 120m.

There are two teams of four riders and the playing periods consist of six chukkas (playing periods of seven minutes with intervals of three minutes). Between the players they use approximately 50 horses throughout the game.
