1. Celtic is the top ranked club in their country, and they definitely have the loudest supporters in their country. Which country is this?

Answer: Scotland

Many people say that Celtic have the best supporters in Europe. They have the volume to be the best supporters in Europe, not necessarily number wise though.
In Champions League 2007-08, they finished the group in second place, advancing to the knockout stages for the second consecutive year. Celtic were drawn against FC Barcelona in the Round of 16. The first leg was played at Celtic Park, and saw them lose 3-2, after being ahead almost the entire match. In the second leg, Xavi scored a very early goal for Barcelona. Barcelona ended up winning the match 1-0 and the quarterfinal spot.
2. Which central-eastern European country is Dynamo Kiev from?

Answer: Ukraine

They did very poorly in Champions Leagues 2006-07 and 2007-08, finishing last in their group and not advancing to the knock-out stages in both of them. In 2006-07 they finished with 2 points, and in 2007-08 they didn't manage to grab a single point.
3. Which European Championship winning country is Panathinaikos from?

Answer: Greece

Otherwise known as PAO, or their full name of Panathinaikos Athlitikos Omilos. Their name in English would be Pan-Athenian Athletic Club. Greece won Euro 2004 by beating Portugal 1-0.
4. Fenerbahce is a ______ football club who are nicknamed "The Yellow Canaries".

Answer: Turkish

2007-08 was their first Champions League, and surprisingly they were quarterfinalists. "The Yellow Canaries" is "Sary Kanaryalar" in Turkish.
5. Lyon is from _________, whose national team won Euro 2000.

Answer: France

France won Euro 2000 on home soil by defeating Italy 2-1 with the Golden Goal, which has since been confiscated. Lyon won 7 consecutive Ligue 1 titles from 2001-02 to 2007-08.

Answer: Spain

Valencia was one of the biggest, most successful clubs in the Spanish La Liga. They had won it 8 times before 2008: 1941-42, 1943-44, 1946-47, 1970-71, 2001-02, and 2003-04.

Answer: England

Surprisingly, Roma hadn't won the Champions League before 2008. They had been runners up once back in 1984, even though they are still commonly referred to as "The Italian Giants". Juventus and AC Milan have also been commonly referred to as "The Italian Giants".
9. Which big-footballing country is Ajax from?

Answer: Netherlands

Ajax won the Champions League in 1994-95, and 3 times when it was called the European Cup, 1970-71, 1971-72, and 1972-73.
10. Which small, western European country is FC Porto from?

Answer: Portugal

Porto won the Champions League very famously is 2004, and one other time in 1986-87 when the tournament was still called the European Champions Cup.
