When this episode began, we saw Sandy and Rhonda shopping for hats and Sandy said she really did not want to buy a hat since she felt there was no need to have one in Los Angeles. Rhonda said a hat was the most important fashion accessory for women. A guy named Paul arrived, at the store, and he advised Sandy to ditch the hat she tried on and Sandy agreed.

Allison entered her apartment, while Billy was typing, and she said she wished she had a gun so she could shoot her car. Allison complained about how she got stuck, in the parking lot, and then her car stalled on Olympic Boulevard. She also said she had about 800 people starting to honk at her. Sandy and Paul went on a date and they both talked about where they grew up. They both mentioned that they grew up, in small towns, and Sandy further commented that the summers, in her hometown, were wonderful. Sandy walked in, with groceries, and Rhonda told her it was about time she showed up and we saw there was a barbecue going on at the apartment complex. Sandy was upset when she saw Paul on a chair beside the pool.

Sandy came home, one night, and noticed that she had multiple voicemails and she checked them. All of them were from Paul and she started to get afraid since it was clear Paul was stalking her. When Paul said he was imagining Sandy being there, with him, Jake picked up the phone and told Paul to stay away from Sandy. Paul immediately hung up the phone.
