2.4 "Everybody Hates Hugo" Trivia Quiz

Hugo was central to this episode and there were flashbacks of him where he won the lottery and decided to quit his job. At the time, he was an employee at a fast food restaurant and his coworker, Johnny, quit as well. Hugo, for a short time, kept his lottery winnings a secret but eventually they came out.

In Hugo's first scene, he dreamed of eating a bunch of snacks in a room in the hatch and Jin saw him. Jin started to speak English, much to Hurley's surprise, and Hugo asked him if he actually knew it. Jin told Hurley that Hurley actually spoke Korean. Hugo eventually awoke.

Sawyer, Jin, and Michael were still in the hole and they discussed ways in which to escape. Jin suggested they keep trying to build a human pyramid but Sawyer told him it would not work. Sawyer got into a mini rant and told Michael and Jin how "Rambina", as in Ana Lucia, and her friends planned to kill them. Mr. Eko and Ana Lucia arrived and told all three to grab onto a rope to get out of the hole.

Hugo, in a flashback, looked on the TV to see the winning lottery numbers and he realized they were ones he had. After he realized he won the lottery, he fainted and his mother heard him. She woke Hugo up and told him he had to start eating healthier since he had a poor diet.

As the opening credits rolled, Charlie saw Hugo and asked him to tell him about what was in the hatch. Hugo remained discrete about what was inside there and this upset Charlie and he got angry at Hugo. Right before he started to walk away from Hugo, Charlie stated how he would get off the island if it meant finding his own way to do it.

Right after the opening credits rolled, Hugo went to help Rose do her laundry and he asked her if she was interested in seeing the hatch. She said yes and he took her to go see the inside of it. Rose was shocked how anyone would actually live there. Jack saw them and he blasted Hurley for telling Rose about it but Hurley assured him nobody else knew and Rose would not tell anybody. Rose commented how, even if someone asked her about the hatch, she would not know what to say.

In Claire's first scene, she relaxed right by the ocean side until she saw a peculiar site in the ocean. She noticed how it was a wine bottle and she looked on the label. Claire was befuddled as to how there was a wine bottle in the ocean and that she could not make out what it could possibly mean.

Hugo took Rose to the part of the hatch which had the food and he decided to give away a lot of it to her. Just as they were talking, Kate decided to come in and ask for some shampoo. She grabbed some but Hugo told her not to take it but she insisted and thanked Hugo.

Midway through the episode, Jack noticed how Sayid was trying to get through more parts of the hatch but had trouble breaking through a door, even though he was using a metal piece to break it. He told Jack about how there was concrete on the other side which was likely eight to ten feet thick. Sayid commented to Jack how what he used was made of titanium.

Sawyer, Michael, and Jin all get out of the hole when Ana Lucia and Mr. Eko give them a rope but they still hold them in captivity. In the episode, they learned how their captors were survivors of the tail end of Oceanic Flight 815 but very few are still alive. One of them who was alive and in the tail section was named Libby, who they met while in captivity. Cynthia Watros portrayed Libby on "Lost."
