Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Cordy and Wes waited outside of the basement door and discussed the obsession over Darla. When Angel came up, he revealed he'd been down there doing what?

Answer: Laundry

He told them cheerfully about an old washer and dryer he'd found. He rhetorically asked about nothing being better than that just out of the dryer smell and warmth. Then he apologized for what his Darla related obsession had done to them both. He said he was done worrying about Darla, and would be there for her only if she sought him out for help. Of course, this was all a lie, revealed when Gunn rushed into the hotel with the whereabouts of Darla. Angel explained he'd lied to avoid them nagging him.

He and Gunn hurried off to find her before she disappeared again.
2. In Darla's quest to be turned into a vampire before she died a human death, she engaged a vampire in a bar in conversation. When did he claim to have been turned into an "eternal child of darkness"?

Answer: '92

Darla hesitated: "19..92?" He confirmed it by saying "I know, it's hard to believe it's already the last century". He thought her idea of being sired so he'd have a companion was 'just weird'. She took him outside where he was staked by Angel.
3. Where were Darla and Angelus trapped inside a burning barn?

Answer: France

It was France in 1765, a mere 12 years after being sired by Darla in Galway. Their brazen over abundance had resulted in their pursuit by hunter Daniel Holtz. Darla hit Angelus, stunning him briefly, so she could make a hasty exit on her own. She told him that she hoped he'd make it out, as an angry mob waited his death. She told him that maybe they'd meet again in Vienna.
4. When Angel took Darla to see the Host, did she sing "Ill Wind"?

Answer: Yes

The Host was a reluctant ally in this one, but Angel said he owed him one. He'd sent Angel to see the swami guy, who turned out to be an imposter who tried to kill him. It turned out that the bartender Ramone, had been the one to betray the Host and set up Angel. Angel ended up having to jump into an empty pool in order to get to the trials.
5. How many trials were there?

Answer: 3

By entering into the trials, Angel had to finish them or else Darla would die anyway. The first trial was Angel in unarmed combat; no shirt, shoes or socks allowed.
6. Had the Valet of the trials ever seen anyone survive the first trial?

Answer: No

Angel asked the man if he knew what trials two and three contained, and he claimed to have never seen anyone survive the first one. Jim Piddock played the Valet. After "Angel", he went on to guest star on "Friends", "The Drew Carey Show", "Lost", "That '70s Show", "Dollhouse". "Castle" and was in the 2012 film "The Five Year Engagement".
7. What was the second trial?

Answer: walkway of crosses that led to a key submerged in holy water

Angel had to run down the walkway, being burned as he did so. He fell as well, burning his chest and torso. When he got to the locked door at the end, he realized he'd have to go back to a bowl of water containing a key. He retrieved the key out of the holy water, which burned his hand and arm badly. He unlocked the door that led to the third trial.
8. What was the last trial?

Answer: Death

Angel had to agree to sacrifice himself in the last trial. He did so, but was spared. Accepting death caused a passing of the trial. But, since Darla was on her second chance already, she was not spared her death.
9. Who said, "you're never gonna be alone again"?

Answer: Angel

At the end, Angel promised Darla this, just before they were interrupted. He'd kind of offered to try and turn her, with the idea that maybe his having a soul would negate her losing her own. But, she turned him down. She said maybe her second chance was to die the way she was supposed to the first time.
10. Who arrived at the end to turn Darla into a vampire?

Answer: Drusilla

Lindsey and his muscle burst into motel room 212, restrained Angel, and Drusilla followed in behind them. Then, 120 years after she predicted it, Dru turned Darla back into a vampire. The vision had come to her in 1880, just before she met William the Bloody and turned him into Spike. The last thing Angel saw as the episode closed was Darla drinking Dru's blood.
