Answer: Shut up and eat it

Garibaldi: "You know, I've been stuck in this tin can for three years...I haven't taken a vacation...okay, okay it's my fault.
I had a leave coming I just didn't take it. I mean the pay sucks. I knew that when I signed on and nobody said I'd survive the job. Now, I give you all that but where in my contract does it say that I have to eat the same food for breakfast every day for three years?!" Sheridan: "Paragraph 47, subsection 19, clause 9a. You can find it in the index under SUAEI..." Garibaldi: "S-U-A-E-I?" Ivanova/Sheridan: "Shut up and eat it!"

Answer: Ivanova

Although Garibaldi and Sheridan try to make her as uncomfortable as they can, in the end she eats the breakfast. Sheridan: "I smell bacon and eggs." Garibaldi: "Get outta here. Do you know how much it costs to bring eggs all the way out to here before they spoil? I have tried for years! It can't be... bacon and eggs...definately." Sheridan: "Uhhhhh...ohhhh" Garibaldi: "Shishhh..." Ivanova: "It's from Marcus." Garibaldi: "I can get anchovies, I can get olive oil...anything that's prepackaged. I haven't seen a fresh chicken egg in three years, I mean cooked or otherwise." Sheridan: "And bacon? Forget it!" Ivanova: "If you want it...it's yours." Garibaldi: "Oh, no. Wouldn't dream of it. now go on... eat!" Sheridan: "Uhm, don't mind us." Garibaldi: "We will just sit right here." Sheridan: "And watch." Ivanova: [sigh] "I'm gonna kill him...after breakfast."

G'Kar sings his song about fishies in the sea in "The Parliament of Dreams", and a variation of that song in "Convictions". Garibaldi goes to visit G'Kar in his cell. G'Kar: "I have taken the opportunity provided by my incarceration to meditate, to think...sometimes I even sing!" Garibaldi: "I know. We've got a petition." G'Kar: "For or against?" Garibaldi: "Based on the sound they think we're torturing you in here." [G'Kar laughing] G'Kar: "You know, a true artist is never appreciated in his own time." Garibaldi: "Or his own cellblock?"

G'Kar has been spending his time (when not singing) writing his book. We see him write from right to left in horizontal rows. G'Kar: "In here, Mr. Garibaldi, you cannot hide from yourself. Everything out there has only one purpose - to distract us from ourselves and what is truely important.

There are no distractions in here. You can learn much from silence...I'm writing it all down right here...the war, the fall of Narn, our mistakes, and what must be done to correct them. I expect to have it finished by the time I'm released."

Dr. Kirkish worked with an archaeological team from IPX that discovered the Shadow ship buried 300 feet below the Martian surface. Dr. Kirkish: "Seven years ago I was stationed on Mars. We were always getting false leads on artifacts supposedly buried beneath the Martian soil for thousands of years. Nothing ever came of it. And then one day our sonic probes picked up something three hundred feet beneath the surface of Syria Planum. We didn't know what it was. Except that it wasn't a natural formation. And given its depth, it had been there at least a thousand years.

It was in the middle of Martian winter, so it took weeks just to dig half of it from the ground. But that much was enough to give me nightmares for the rest of my life. It's the same ship we have been seeing on the news lately, the one that looks like it came straight from hell."

Answer: Garibaldi

Garibaldi tells the gathered group that he saw the Shadow ship on Mars while he was a shuttle pilot. He also found a Psi Corps badge at the site...probably another reason he is not too fond of Psi Corps and Bester.

Answer: Ganymede

Dr. Kirkish informs the conspiracy group about Earth's plans for the vessel on Ganymede. Dr. Kirkish: "In three days they're gonna take it back to Earth, study its secrets and learn how to use it against the other races and if necessary against our own people! That's why I had to warn someone...you can't let them get a hold of one of these ships! They don't warn us so that we can fight these things they want us to become more like them!"

Answer: Garibaldi

The head Nightwatch guy on Babylon 5 has noticed that Sheridan has been missing and asks Zack to use his relationship with Garibaldi to find out what's going on. Zack knows something fishy is going on, and wishes that he could have been trusted enough for Garibaldi to let him in on the secret, but still refuses to betray a friendship.

The Nightwatch guy tells Zack he has to decide between friendship and his job.

Sheridan decides to take the White Star to destroy the ship so that EarthGov won't get their hands on the Shadow technology. Sheridan: "The rest of you'd be needed here to cover my absence. It's a two day jump to Earth space - that's a long time to be gone. I'm leaving behind my identicard, my uniform, command rank, anything that could lead back here if something should go wrong. Susan, in our absence I'm leaving you and Garibaldi in charge of the Rangers. I'd tell you to take good care of the station but I know that's not necessary. I've left instructions in my desk for a coverstory if we don't come back. We'll send out my Starfury and use the autodestruct sequence. Doctor, you'll provide the organic mass to simulate a casualty. I wish none of this were necessary. We all knew that sooner or later we'd have to deal with Earth. So, I guess it's time we got down to business. If there's any way we can come back...we will."

Answer: tempting death

Lennier orders Sheridan to get some rest on their journey towards Jupiter. Sheridan: "How can you sleep in these things?" Delenn: "It's quite simple, with proper meditation. We consider sleeping in the horizontal to be tempting death." Sheridan: "Yeah, well if I sleep in this, I'll be tempting fate all night." Delenn: "Don't worry. I will watch and catch you if you should fall." Sheridan: "Okay. I doubt if I'll be getting any sleep anyway.

It's funny: This will be the closest I've bene to Earth in...four years. Who'd've thought I'd come back in a Minbari ship. You know what I miss the most about home? The sound of rain hitting the roof at night.

It always helped me fall alseep. Back when I was a kid preparing for the academy, I'd be up 'til...oh, four or five o'clock in the morning studying. I'd have maybe...two hours to sleep after that, but...I was so wound up, I'd just lie there. Same thing happened the night before my final test. I just knew if I didn't get some sleep, I'd never pass it." Delenn: "And? Did it begin to rain?" Sheridan: "No.

But Dad, my dad, heard me walking around. He knew I couldn't sleep. So he went outside, he got the garden hose and sprayed it, so it came down on the roof, just like rain. He stood there making it rain until I fell asleep. I sometimes think he would've stood there for days if he had to. I miss him. And right now, more than anything else in the world, I wish it would rain...just for a little while." [Delenn then instructs the computer in Minbari to make the sound of rain]

Marcus tries to give a report to a distracted Ivanova after Sheridan has left. Marcus: "And according to one of our units on the border of Centauri space, they've continued massing their fleet. We don't know why. Maybe they expect a counter attack, it's hard to say. And they have much to be concerned about.

There's always the threat of an attack by say, a giant space dragon, the kind that leaves the sun every thirty days. It's a nuisance, but what would you expect from reptiles. Did I mention that my nose was on fire? That I have fifteen wild badgers living in my trousers? I'm sorry, would you prefer ferrets?"

Answer: Because she doesn't want the responsibility of commanding the station

Ivanova vents all her frustrations out on Marcus. Ivanova: "I don't know how to relate to you! How you fit in to anything here. I mean, where are you in the ranks? Above? Below?" Marcus: "Left? Right? In a box by the door...?" Ivanova: "Ever since you've come here we had nothing but trouble! You're a loose canon!" Marcus: "He went of his own free will.

He didn't have to go." Ivanova: "Yes, he did! And you knew he would the second he found out what was going on!" Marcus: "I'd rather assumed he would send me." ... Ivanova: "Because he didn't have any business taking out that ship without me there to help him! Because we're going against our own government! I don't know where the hell I fit in any more much unless you! And damnit! Because I don't have anyone else to blame!" ... Poor Marcus.

Answer: The ship was crushed by Jupiter's gravity

Sheridan knows that the White Star is not powerful enough to take on the Shadow vessel in a one-on-one combat situation. However, since the merging of the human with the Shadow ship did not go well, they believe that they can succeed. They manage some damage to the ship, and then lead it into Jupiter's atmosphere, where they trick it deep enough that, in its weakened state it, it is crushed.

After defeating the Shadow ship, the White Star is rocked by weapons fire. Sheridan is troubled when he discovers that the Agammemnon was the ship sent to investigate, the ship carrying men and women who had served under him for years. Sheridan: "Of all the ships...why does it has to be the Agamemnon?" Delenn: "They must think that we are responsible for the attack on Ganymede!" Sheridan: "Of course...it's the way our luck runs!"

Answer: No

Lennier: "Shall I return fire?" Sheridan: "Negative. I won't fire on her!" Delenn: "Are they equiped for atmospheric maneuvering?" Sheridan: "No. But they can track us down like a bloodhound. They can wait us out, they can knock us down or board us if we try to escape..." Delenn: "They are getting closer! John, I know this is not what you wanted but if we remain here we will be destroyed! Our only choices are to fight or to surrender!" Sheridan: "No! We can't surrender! And I won't open fire on my old ship!"

Answer: opened a jumpgate inside Jupiter's atmosphere

Delenn suggests opening a jump point inside the atmosphere. Lennier: "With all due respect for your innovative choice of strategy may I suggest that the energy involved in opening a jump point in a hydrogen rich atmosphere would be explosive at best..." Sheridan: "No, she's right! We'll get as close as we can to the edge of the atmosphere. That should minimize the eruption...I, I hope..."

Answer: Garibaldi

Sheridan and Garibaldi discuss the events after arriving back on the station. Sheridan: "We did something to help Earth but the way it's been reported you'd think we were the menace!" Garibaldi: "You know what they say...no good deed goes unpunished. The important thing is, we've got away with it." Sheridan: "So far."

Answer: Garibaldi

Marcus: "As I recall you were somewhat concerned where I fit in the great organizational scheme of things, so I went to the effort of preparing this chart. Now, here's you, right here, at the heart of everything - and why not? - and here's me. This is the Captain, here's Franklin, here's my mom and dad...didn't actually have anything to do with them but it's a very good pictue, don't you think?"

Answer: Ottoman Empire

Marcus: "I actually think I've come up with a way to explain the organizational structure of Babylon 5 using the Ottoman Empire as a model. Get's a little confusing around this bit here but..."

Answer: martial law

ISN reporter: "And to confirm earlier reports, President Clark has signed a decree today declaring martial law throughout Earth central citing threats to planetary security. He's expected to provide information to support this action at a close meeting of the full Earth senat tomorrow. We repeat, Earth is now under martial law."
