7.16 "The Wrong Stuff" Trivia Quiz

The episode commenced with a few people dressed in space suits and they were working on a simulation. Based off the layout, it was obvious the red coloring symbolized the planet Mars. One of the persons radioed to someone and all of a sudden started to scream. He wound up dead.

Alexis was first seen in a flashy outfit running around Castle's apartment. She had a toy gun out that made laser sounds so it was evident she, Martha and a few others were playing laser tag. Castle got home and was not pleased that she played the game without him.

Kate received a call that there had been a death at the place which conducted the simulation on Mars. She and the rest of the team went down there to talk with the staff to see what they could learn. Based off their assessment, they feared the death was not accidental. One of the staffers claimed that the victim, Tom, was a perfect candidate to be an astronaut since he was a Top Gun pilot in the Navy.

Answer: Viggo Jansen

After doing some further investigating, the team realized that the space simulation deal was a private venture that had been launched by a local billionaire: Viggo Jansen. They decided to question him to see if he could help them track down Tom's killer. Viggo was very reluctant to allow them to investigate the simulation program but Kate said they had to in order to nab a suspect.

He did state that he would not shut down the program entirely.

Answer: Ed Redley

One of the first staffers that the team spoke to about the murder was Operations Director Ed Redley. Ed mentioned that, if they wanted to inspect the simulation for the murder, they would have to wear space suits given the space like conditions. Castle, Javier and Kate told Ed this was not a problem for them.

Answer: Screwdriver

Castle, Kate and Javier went into the simulation area to see what they could find that could aid them in their investigation. During this, they learned from the bioscience officer that the victim died as a result of a stabbing and that his screwdriver was missing. The team wondered if this missing screwdriver factored into Tom's murder.

Answer: Clint Granger

The team watched Tom's video diary and in it he claimed someone was with him in the simulation area who should not have been there. This was when they learned that Clint Granger hacked into the simulation program's security system. Clint was found at the airport about to board a flight to San Francisco. During questioning, he said he was livid that Tom got a spot in the simulation program and he had not.

Answer: George Reyes

Clint insisted that he was innocent in Tom's murder so the team started to look at other potential suspects. One person who sprung to mind was George Reyes, who worked as a senior facilities engineer. George had been behaving bizarrely as of late after his wife, astronaut Angela Olvera, stated their marriage was done.

When questioned, George stated that he did not want to kill Tom but he wanted to sabotage the simulation.

Answer: Newton Endeavors

Castle and Kate went into the simulation to see what else they could learn but all they came upon was a gas mask. After doing a trace, they learn that the gas mask was from a place called Newton Endeavors. This program was competing with Viggo's to send astronauts to Mars and was being funded by Ian Rasher.

Answer: MIRA

The rover for the simulation program was acting up so Viggo looked into this deficiency through the program's computer: MIRA. The computer program MIRA started to act strangely since it refused Jansen's order to conduct a diagnostic check. Someone insisted to MIRA that Tom was a threat to the mission to go to Mars.
