Grace has put off apartment hunting and Will is telling her she definitely needs to move out of her apartment since she and Danny broke up. Grace says to him, "Yeah. Well, easy for you to say, Mr. Rent Control. Mr. View of the Park. Mr. Perfect Apartment. Oh, my god. Why don't I move in with you?"

We first see Jack in the kitchen wearing an apron and singing, "Oh, it all began with just one little dance. But soon it ended up a big romance. Blame it on the Bossa Nova, the dance of love". Will enters and Jack hands him a bowl with snacks in it and says, "I made it myself.

It's a dry snack mix. I call it "Garlic Jazz." I think you might like it, but if you don't..." He then starts singing again, "Blame it on the Bossa Nova..."

Reason number one why I should, I would never let you walk out of the house with mustard on your face." Will then says, "No!" Grace continues, "Reason number 2, the dry cleaner in your neighborhood calls me "nice lady"." Will says, "He calls me "nice lady." You need to build your own nest. I mean, living with me, I'd just become a crutch for you."

Will comes home and flips on the TV set. We then hear the announcer say, "Tonight, Conan's guests include comedian Sandra Bernhard, 12-year-old pig caller Jody Marchenko, and Regis Philbin."

When Will wakes up and walks into the living room, he sees Jack cooking breakfast. Jack says, "Morning, roomie. Last night, you missed it. They had grizzly bear attacks on the Discovery Channel. It was good, but I wanted better." Will then asks, "What did you break?" Jack replies, "Will, can't a fella just make another fella a little meal?" Will then says, "You broke another wineglass, didn't you?" Jack then says the quote in question and admits his bird pooped on Will's suit. Will then tells Jack that he can't live there because it's only right for Grace to move in. Jack drops a wine glass into the sink and we hear it break. Jack then says, "Oops. I did break another wineglass."

Jack meets Karen for the first time at Grace's company. When he first sees her, he says, "Well, Peter, Paul and Mary, you are fabulous!" Karen asks him, "Who are you?" He tells her he's Jack and she says, "Will's Jack? Well, hello, honey. We've talked on the phone a million times. I can't believe we've never met." Jack continues to compliment her and then tells her Will asked Grace to move in with him, Karen says, "Oh, honey, no, no! She can't move into his place! That's not acceptable!" Jack then says, "Tell me about it, you feisty little shih-tzu."
