Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Holodeck character who used the Doctor's mobile emitter to help Janeway find the ship's computer core.

Answer: DaVinci

Janeway had been using a DaVinci program for a while and at the beginning of "Concerning Flight," they had (unsuccessfully) tried to build a flying machine. To escape from the planet, Janeway and DaVinci used a flying machine he had built and - thankfully - it worked, lifting them off the ground and giving Voyager time enough to beam the pair aboard.
2. Name of ship given by 'Starfleet' in "Hope and Fear."

Answer: Dauntless

The Dauntless was actually a ship that Arturis made the Voyager crew believe was from Starfleet. Arturis wanted to deliver Voyager's crew to the Borg because the Borg had assimilated his race.
3. Name of ship destroyed in "Unimatrix Zero."

Answer: delta flyer

Janeway, Torres and Tuvok beamed aboard the Borg cube at the last second before the ship was destroyed. In season 7's "Drive," we see Paris and Kim testing the new Delta Flyer.
4. Nickname for a Class-Y planet.

Answer: Demon

In the episode "Demon," Kim and Paris become duplicated by a lifeform that can only live in a Class-Y atmosphere. At the end of the episode, the crew is duplicated as this is the only way the 'goo' on the planet can attain sentience. In a later episode, "Course: Oblivion," we see the Voyager crew destabilizing - it turns out that this Voyager crew were the duplicates from that Demon-Class planet.
5. Last name of Janeway's character in her gothic holonovel.

Answer: Davenport

In the holonovel, Lucille Davenport was just hired to be a governess to Lord Burleigh's children, Henry and Beatrice. Carolyn Seymour played the housekeeper, Mrs. Templeton, who tried to kill Lucille in "Persistence of Vision."
6. Designation of a missile that B'Elanna had programmed as a Maquis, but was found in the Delta Quadrant.

Answer: Dreadnought

The Dreadnought was originally a Cardassian missile that the Maquis stole and reprogrammed against the Cardassians. But soon after B'Elanna reprogrammed it, the Caretaker took the missile to the Delta Quadrant. After that trip, Dreadnought's programming broke and it locked on to an inhabited colony. Luckily, Voyager was in the right place at the right time and B'Elanna was able to destroy Dreadnought before it could kill the innocent people.
7. Janeway had to submit Voyager for inspection to a _____ inspector in "Counterpoint."

Answer: Devore

Kashyk, the Devore Inspector, defects to Voyager and works with Janeway to find the wormhole that the telepaths can use to escape. It turns out that Kashyk was just using Janeway and Voyager to find the wormhole himself to seal it in order to prevent telepaths from escaping justice.

However, Janeway anticipated that Kashyk had not been entirely truthful with the crew and told him the wrong coordinates, giving the telepaths time to escape.
8. Last name of an engineer killed by Lon Suder.

Answer: Darwin

Suder and Frank Darwin were alone in Engineering when Frank began doing something that annoyed Suder. Unable to control his killing tendencies, he killed his shipmate. Suder was under house arrest and under Tuvok's care when the ship was boarded by the Kazon in "Basics." Lon eventually helped retake Voyager, and died a hero.
9. Episode where the ship is duplicated - and one crew must sacrifice itself for the other.

Answer: Deadlock

One Voyager was in good shape while the other was almost destroyed. It was decided that the Voyager in bad shape would destroy itself, thus saving the Voyager in better condition. However, the Vidiians boarded the ship in good shape. In order for at least one crew to live, that Janeway destroyed Voyager so that at least the Voyager in bad condition could survive. Two notes: Naomi Wildman and Harry Kim from the Voyager in bad condition died. Before the ship in good condition was destroyed, Janeway ordered Harry to bring Naomi to the other ship so that they would live.
10. Alloy used in the construction of Voyager's hull.

Answer: Duranium

Duranium was also used in the construction of the Delta Flyer. Dermalplast is what the Doctor used to try and treat Paris and Kim in "Demon."
