When Worf wasn't found among the survivors, Ezri Dax went looking for him, and found him still in an escape pod.

No one ever saw what the Breen looked like underneath the refrigerated suits they wore. Even the Founder's chief aide, Weyoun, didn't get a look at them.

Gul Damar learned about the military disaster, then found out that the Cardassians had become junior partners in the alliance with the Dominion behind the Breen, so he made the decision to fight against the Dominion.
