Answer: The Reverend

As a personal policy the Reverend counciled the soon-to-be married couple about the wedding itself and other things. At first Michaela and Sully were arguing about past loves, the railroad and other things, until finally they quite literally kissed and made up.

Elizabeth, Rebecca and Marjorie arrived to the surprise of everyone. Elizabeth was less than thrilled that Michaela refused to alter the date to accommodate her mother's and sister's schedules. Michaela thought to them a flower show was more important than her at long last wedding.

Answer: Sully and Matthew

During the cattle drive home there was a fire blocking their path and the only way out was straight through the thick smoke. Matthew, Sully, Loren and Robert E made it out safely but on the other side of the thick smoke remained the wagon containing Grace, Colleen and Brian. Matthew and Sully slipped on their bandanas and raced back into the smoke. Next thing you saw was their horses racing out of the smoke without them and they were on the wagon's horses getting them out of harm's way.

They burned all the books to various degrees much to the family's horror. Then while sifting through the pile of burnt books Michaela found a book and went to church with the book. She explained all sorts of stories in the book plus a passage where God accepted a bet from the devil.

She handed the book over to the Reverend at the church with the town watching. Loren asked, "What is it?" Michaela replied, "The Holy Bible." The town then joined the family in going through the books and opening the library with all the books.

During their trip home Michaela had become physically ill, attempting to ignore Jake and Hank's praise for Custer and lost her temper at Brian. She tearfully excused herself to the barn where she hit a pillar with a wooden rake destroying it and hit the same pillar with a bridle over and over until she sat down screaming and crying.

The town council took the horse away from Zeke Shelton on grounds of cruelty and abuse. This was a template for the Town Council of Colorado Springs vs Mr. Daggat, father of Marianne Daggat. She was malnourished, exhausted and had suffered numerous bites from rats he claimed to know nothing about. Using Charles Darwin's recently published "Theory of Evolution" Michaela had convinced Loren, Jake and Horace for her case.

The Reverend was the vote that made it unanimous, taking Marianne away from her father.

Custody of Colleen and Brian was awarded to their father Ethan Cooper but they ran away at the first opportunity. During the time they were in hiding, Colleen fell in a shallow creek trying to cross it using a log. Colleen soon developed a cough and fever and by the time they were found by Sully and Michaela, her fever and cough were worse. Upon returning to town Colleen passed out but survived her bout of pneumonia.

Answer: 30 hours

Myra was in labor for thirty hours according to Dorothy so Colleen suggested they do a caesarean section. But Dorothy was shocked, asking Colleen, "You mean cut the baby out? Colleen can you...Colleen should you do that?" In the end Myra delivered a healthy baby girl without a caesarean section.

Answer: Loren

Using his own paycheck Sully bought as many food and supplies he could and pleaded with the town at church for help to aid the Cheyenne. Dorothy told Michaela where the supplies were stored in Loren's shed near the store. Sully broke in and he, Matthew and Michaela took it all out. Loren and Jake called them thieving but Sully called it delivering. Loren gave up on the whole enterprise letting them go.

Answer: Elizabeth Quinn

Michaela asked Elizabeth to give her away, only for Elizabeth to turn her down not knowing Sully was eavesdropping. On the day of the wedding he told Loren, "I just want you to know that I appreciate the past before I ask you this favor." He told Loren that Elizabeth wouldn't give Dr. Mike away today and that Abigail wouldn't be grudging. Abigail was Loren's only child who was married to Sully and who died in childbirth. Loren then said, "I'd be honored to give Dr. Mike away." Loren then told Elizabeth that he was fool enough not to even go to his daughter's wedding which he deeply regretted.

In the end Elizabeth gave away Michaela to Sully.
