Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What state did Grandpa Kennedy want at the beginning of the film?

Answer: California

Jackie was taking a walk on the beach while Joan was standing on the porch of the Kennedy house at Hyannis Port. Ethel was nowhere to be seen for the moment. Joan went to turn off the television only to be stopped by Joe Kennedy whom everyone called "Grandpa Kennedy".
Joan: "Can I get you anything?"
Joe: "Yes California." California has the most electoral votes with 55.
2. Which future president was on TV announcing Senator Kennedy as the next President of the United States?

Answer: Richard Nixon

Although there is a Kennedy era photo of Bill Clinton shaking hands with President Kennedy, it was Richard Nixon who announced John F. Kennedy as President of the United States.
3. Whose party did Jackie attend prior to her marriage to Jack?

Answer: Bobby and Ethel

As per Ethel's order everyone was dressed in black, except Jackie, who probably didn't know about the color requirement. She wore a black dress with some dark green. Ethel came down stairs wearing a plain green dress causing Jackie to let out a slight laugh. Jack was there but using crutches due to a bad back.
4. Who was turning off the lights outside the Hyannis Port house by unscrewing the light bulbs?

Answer: Rose Kennedy

Although the Kennedy family had tons of money, they were rather strict with it. Like for Bobby and Ethel's party, Rose Kennedy said they could have it only if they didn't use heat. So Bobby said, "It's either heat or a party." Ethel chose the party. While Jackie and Ethel were talking on the porch Rose began twisting light bulbs until they turned off.

Here's my question: Why didn't she just use the light switch?
5. Who thought the rendition of "Happy Birthday Mr. President" was going to be vulgar?

Answer: Rose

Jackie simply refused to go to the President's birthday in New York, but his brothers, sisters and mother were there. Rose asked Ethel, "This isn't going to be vulgar isn't it?" Marilyn Monroe came out on stage in a skin tight pale pink dress and sang "Happy Birthday Mr. President".
6. Who was nicknamed "The Dish"?

Answer: Joan

Joan was a stunning woman so it's no surprise when she was nicknamed "The Dish". When Joan accidentally revealed the President had a bad back and can barely pick up his own son, Jack called her Dish.
7. Who whispered in Grandpa Kennedy's ear "I'll pray for you"?

Answer: Jackie

The family had gathered at Hyannis Port where Joe sounded as if he were choking. He had a massive stroke from which never regained the use of his legs and speech.
8. Who suggested remodeling The White House?

Answer: Jackie Kennedy

During a party at The White House, Jackie spoke to a senator about remodeling it. He said it would cost a fortune. Jackie then said he and Jack would rather be sailing up The Potomac River with Marilyn (as in Monroe).
9. Who phoned Bobby about the Dallas shooting?

Answer: J. Edgar Hoover

J. Edgar Hoover phoned Bobby, who was at home, and informed him that President Kennedy had been shot and wasn't expected to live.
10. What did Jackie leave behind with Jack's body at Parkland Hospital?

Answer: Her wedding ring

Jackie took off her bloody glove and took off her wedding band and tried slipping it on Jack's left ring finger only it didn't fit. The doctor in the trauma room put some Vaseline on the President's finger allowing the ring to go on his finger.
