Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who stood on Johnson's left aboard Air Force One for the swearing in ceremony?

Answer: Jackie

Lady Bird Johnson stood at her husband's right while Jackie, still in her blood stained pink suit, stood at Johnson's left. I know protocol demands the former First Lady (Jackie) to be at the swearing in of the new President (Johnson). But the woman just had her husband die in her arms, I would have left her alone.
2. Who came to get Jackie and the President's body?

Answer: Bobby Kennedy

Bobby rushed over to Jackie's side. The movie showed Jack's coffin being lowered out of the plane and Jackie trying to open the car door while Johnson was speaking. In reality, President Kennedy, Jackie, Bobby and the entire Kennedy staff left the airport all before Johnson left Air Force One.
3. Among Jackie, Ethel and Joan, who ended up having a drinking problem?

Answer: Joan

Jackie drank on rare occasions and Ethel was calm, cool and collected. Joan couldn't cope with being a Kennedy wife, especially after Jack and Bobby were killed.
4. What was put into Bobby's hand after he was shot?

Answer: Rosary beads

One of the busboy's of the Ambassador Hotel placed a rosary in Bobby's left hand. Bobby whispered Ethel's name and due to the shooting, blood loss and location of the shot, his words sounded like gibberish.
5. Who helped to negotiate for Jackie before she married Aristotle Onassis?

Answer: Ted

Lee had briefly dated Aristotle Onassis but it was Jackie who captured the Greek shipping magnate's heart. After Bobby's death, Jackie felt unsafe in America, especially with her children there, so she married Aristotle after Ted negotiated with him. After Aristotle's death his only living child, Christina, gave her a settlement of $26 million dollars after she waived all other claims to the Onassis estate.
6. Who urged Joan to phone Mary Jo Kopecne's family after the accident?

Answer: Ted

Ted was driving when his car went off the bridge on Chappaquiddick Island. He tried in vain to save Mary Jo Kopecne but it was too late. Joan was urged by Ted to phone the Kopecne family and convey her condolences. This gave Ted only two months in jail suspended.
7. Who had a penchant for playing the piano?

Answer: Joan

To cope with her unhappy life, Joan played the piano and was rather good. Good enough to have a concert after which she took a drink. In the next scene, she was driving drunk when she crashed into a parked car.
8. For a photo op, Ted and Joan couldn't hold what?

Answer: Hands

After crashing her car, Joan admitted to a problem and later it was time for a photo op. During this attempted photo op, Ted and Joan attempted to hold hands but they found that they couldn't hold each other's hands.
9. Who was running for president towards the end of the film?

Answer: Ted Kennedy

After the failed photo op and press conference, Ted dropped out of the race for President at the Republican National Convention. He was joined by his wife and three children.
10. According to the text after the film, how did Jackie die?

Answer: Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma

Ethel Skakel Kennedy never remarried after Bobby's death and still lives at Hickory Hill. Joan Bennett Kennedy's divorce from Ted was finalized in 1983 and she never remarried. Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis died of Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma in New York City on May 19, 1994.
