She had two teapots, ceramic and silver, both of which contained Lipton orange pekoe. She laid out cookies and the two teapots for high tea with Iola and her new friend Arlene.

When the family's Uncle Oscar died he left his chatty bird who spoke in rhyme. Thelma had enough and didn't bat an eye when the bird flew away and so she ordered the birdcage to the dump. The garbage man suddenly announced his retirement after finding gold.
