Claude Canemaker offers Vint $1,600 in a marriage scheme to a girl from Portugal with Claude getting a $400 finder's fee. But Naomi informs Thelma that it's illegal. Thelma puts a stop to it right away believing it to be totally illegal and could lead him going to jail. If you're wondering where Naomi was at this point she wasn't married to Vint in this story. Even though production wise this episode aired AFTER Vint and Naomi's wedding.

Buzz was trying to get on the debate team, so he got into "Positive Thinking" and he got on the debate team. Eunice tried to keep a positive cheerful attitude, but after a scene stealing actress at The Pepperpot Playhouse and Thelma, her attitude returned to normal Eunice and a major hissy fit ensued.

Claude was in jail and asked Vint for bail money. Vint secretly pawned Thelma's silver for $250, much to Thelma's most obvious chagrin.

Thelma was at the refrigerator and thought she saw something out of the corner of her eye. She looked outside the window and saw Naomi. She threw a gigantic hissy fit and refusing to let them see each other again.

Fran and Naomi chatted in the kitchen and Naomi confessed Ellen's husband Bruce was having an affair. Naomi left Fran in the kitchen. Thelma came into the kitchen causing Fran to hiccup and admit to Thelma about Bruce.

She said Merv Griffin threw a party and Pia Zadora put away six of these suckers, according to Eunice. Thelma ordered the chili dogs to be placed not with the real food. Eunice said, "Oh yes better not let my food contaminate the rest of the food!"

Scarlett was a woman of the oldest profession. Despite that, she got along with Thelma fairly quickly and later she made them get along whether they wanted to or not.

Buzz asked Vint that when he was a kid, when was his curfew? Vint responded, "9 o'clock." Buzz laughed. Vint gave him a 1 am curfew without telling Sonja, who had a midnight curfew. But, it turns out Buzz's date had no curfew and neither did Sonja's date.

She opened with a complaint of the coffee not tasting "decaf" and Thelma lied and said it was. Later after the dress secret was out, Thelma admitted to the coffee not being decaf because everyone else drinks caffeinated. She later admitted to having salt on the peas. Fran complained how everything went to Thelma because of being wrapped around their daddy's finger.

Answer: Fran's studio

Since Vint, Buzz and Sonja had no other place to go they moved into Thelma's house. Vint got the basement, Buzz got the attic and Sonja took what was Fran's studio. Thelma didn't want to cause them to be homeless and she knew Fran would be angry at losing her precious studio.
