Answer: Cenred

Cenred worked with Morgause in "The Tears of Uther Pendragon". Cenred sent his men to attack Camelot while Morgana, with a little help from Morgause, raised an army of the dead, so Camelot would be fighting two wars at once. In Cenred's next appearance, "The Castle of Fyrien", he and Morgause had kidnapped Elyan, Gwen's estranged brother, hoping to get Arthur to come to them in hopes of killing him. Merlin put a stop to this.

In Cenred's next appearance, "The Coming of Arthur", Morgause made Cenred's men immortal in hopes of taking Camelot. Cenred grew frustrated with Morgause and tried to get one of his men to attack her, but Morgause eventually used magic to make that man kill Cenred.

Answer: Galahad

Gwaine was introduced in the episode "Gwaine". He helped Arthur and Merlin went they got into a fight with some of the locals of the village where Gwaine was from. He traveled to Camelot with Merlin and Arthur hoping to be a knight. He never mentioned that his father was a king because he believed that titles meant nothing.
Percival first appeared in the finale "The Coming of Arthur (Part 2)". He is a strong knight and along with the other knights helped take back Camelot from Morgana and Morgause, who succeeded in overthrowing Uther in the previous episode.
Elyan's first appearance was in "The Castle of Fyrien". He's the brother of Guinevere, although they were estranged having not spoken to one another for several years.

Answer: Gwaine

A melee was in the episode "Gwaine". Two travelers killed two knights, Sir Ethan and Sir Oswald, and took their places in the melee with the intent of killing Arthur. Gwaine discovered what they were doing, but since he was believed to be a commoner, his argument didn't have the same affect as the argument of two knights.
In "The Sorcerer's Shadow", Camelot's legendary tournament was held but it was not a melee.
No tournaments were held in "Queen of Hearts" or "The Eye of the Phoenix".

Answer: Great Dragon

Merlin used his dragonlord abilities to summon the Great Dragon, so that he would save Merlin from the serkets. The Great Dragon took Merlin away from the serkets, healed Merlin, and let him rest until Merlin decided to fly on the back of the Great Dragon to the outskirts of Camelot.

The Great Dragon also comforted Merlin when Merlin said that he felt bad about not listening to the Great Dragon's warning about Morgana being evil.

Answer: Gwen, Morgana, and Uther were given a potion that caused them to fart.

Merlin went to a library to find a book for Gaius. While there, Merlin found a container and let loose a goblin that possessed Gaius. The goblin-possessed Gaius did several things including giving several people (including Gwen, Morgana, and Uther) a potion that caused them to fart.

He also gave Gwen a potion that would cure her of the warts that Gaius said she would get. Gaius charged people for these services even though he had never charged before. Gaius also accused Merlin of sorcery. Eventually, it was learned that Gaius was possessed by a goblin, and Merlin used magic to get rid of the goblin.

When asked by Uther, Gaius mentioned that it was not known who was responsible for releasing the goblin.

Answer: Morgana struggling to get past Merlin

Merlin met a sorcerer named Taliesin who took Merlin to the crystal cave. In the cave, he looked at a crystal which showed several events, usually about Morgana. Although Morgana did struggle to get past Merlin, that was not one of the images Merlin saw in the crystal cave.
All but two of these images came true in "The Crystal Cave". The two that didn't come true then eventually came true. These two images were an aged Merlin (which was a result of a potion he took in "Queen of Hearts" and Morgana wearing a crown (which happened in "The Coming of Arthur (Part 1)").
Merlin tried to prevent these images coming true but learned that most of the time, the reason they came true is because Merlin tried to prevent it from coming true.

Answer: Gwen learned that Morgana had magic.

Gwen became suspicious of Morgana, believing that she could not be trusted. One night, she hid out of sight in Morgana's chambers and saw Morgana perform magic (lighting an object on fire). Gwen then proceeded to tell Gaius about this and told him that she believed that Morgana is up to no good.

Answer: Alice was a sorceress.

During the Great Purge, Uther made a list of everyone he suspected of having magic. Alice's name was on this list. Since Gaius was a close friend of Uther, Gaius was allowed to see the list. He saw Alice's name on the list and struck it off. This gave Alice enough time to get out of Camelot.

Answer: Cup of Life

The Cup of Life, which previously appeared in "Le Morte d'Arthur", reappeared in "The Coming of Arthur". Morgause used the Cup of Life to make Cenred's men immortal. It was also used by the Druids earlier in the episode to revive Sir Leon who was nearing death.

Answer: Freya

Merlin used water from the lake of Avalon that he received from the Fisher King in "The Eye of the Phoenix" to talk to Freya. She said that since Morgause's army was immortal, there was not much that could kill them. The only thing that can kill the dead is Excalibur, which was in the same lake in which Freya was burned (which happened in "The Lady of the Lake" in Season 2). Even though Morgause's army was still alive, when they drank their own blood from the Cup of Life, they became the living dead, and thus could be killed by Excalibur.
