Question 1 of 10
1. I may have been born on the Hellmouth, as I once surmised I could have been born in my parents' basement. I even lived in that basement for a little over a year. Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. Okay, so maybe, technically, I AM a murderer. But honestly, that first guy was a total accident. I learned that part of redemption was to accept myself for who I am. So when those final fights came down, I was ready to die for the cause. Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. I was good natured and soft spoken. My mom died when I was young, and I died not too long afterward. Willow and Xander came to the cemetery where I was buried, and the First never appeared in my image. Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. I was once described as being small enough to fit into a shaving kit. I helped the Scoobies out by offering monosyllabic comments to various situations, while carting them around in my van. My hair often changed colors and I quit college in order to find my "inner cool". When I discovered that vampires were real, I expressed that I thought it "explained a lot". Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. When I appeared, it was apparent I was probably going to have no redeeming moral character. I was selfish, callous, and manipulative, and worked my way into an interesting death at the hands of a Scooby. Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. My morals have been ambiguous at times, and I died on my show. But, at times I allowed my softer, more human side to show. It's not wrong to say I was a true survivor until my death (just ask Linwood Murrow), which came in the form of a surprise attack to misdirect my fellow characters. Though this may mirror some of the others here, I am obviously different from them in a specific way. Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. Yes, so I was at times demony. That didn't make me a bad person, did it? I offered council and advice to my pals, as well as clues to people in need. When it was time to go out, I died a hero and passed along my gift with a quick kiss. Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. When we first met, I was in a position of power. No one seemed to question my methodology. I tried to pass on some of my knowledge to the slayer, but sharing her limelight was hard. In the end, the number 314 was my undoing. Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. I was once a watcher. I was the first watcher Angel ever saw. I was in Los Angeles and saw Buffy at her high school; Hemery. In the film version I was shown to have killed myself, but on TV, Buffy never explained what happened to me. Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. I was once a poet, nicknamed for just that feat. My true love scorned my feeble advances, leaving me a crumbled mess. That very night I ran into my future, out on the dark streets of my home town. Afterward I made an attempt to make my mum my companion forever. Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. I may have been born on the Hellmouth, as I once surmised I could have been born in my parents' basement. I even lived in that basement for a little over a year.

Answer: Xander

Xander was a fully human man, most likely born in Sunnydale, who lived in his parents' basement for just over a season after high school. He moved out of that basement in "Buffy's" fifth season. Nicholas Brendon played Xander, and went on to guest star on such shows as "Criminal Minds" and "Private Practice".

Lorne, Merle, and Cordelia were all demon of some kind. Cordelia became part demon after she moved to the spin-off "Angel". Also, after she left Sunnydale, Cordelia never returned. Lorne and Merle also never appeared on "Buffy" after "Angel" began.
2. Okay, so maybe, technically, I AM a murderer. But honestly, that first guy was a total accident. I learned that part of redemption was to accept myself for who I am. So when those final fights came down, I was ready to die for the cause.

Answer: Faith

Willow (also a murderer), Tara and Amy were all witches, as was Michael Czajak back in the high school days. Faith was a slayer; the show's third. She appeared in "Buffy" season three. She accidentally killed the deputy major, Allan Finch, and the guilt of that act turned her toward the dark side.

She embraced evil until Angel was able to convince her she could be saved. She spent several years in prison before escaping to aid the Angel Inc. gang in capturing Angelus. After that, she left Los Angeles and returned to Sunnydale to fight against the First. Eliza Dushku played Faith, Blake Soper (also goes by Sennett) played Michael, and Elizabeth Anne Allen and Robin Riker both played Amy and her mother Catherine.
3. I was good natured and soft spoken. My mom died when I was young, and I died not too long afterward. Willow and Xander came to the cemetery where I was buried, and the First never appeared in my image.

Answer: Tara

Buffy, Drusilla, and Fred were all ladies who appeared within the first two seasons of either "Buffy" or "Angel", as well as all being alive when either show's final season aired. Buffy and Tara both died shortly after losing their mothers, but Buffy was not soft spoken, and no one was ever seen at her grave side for a visit. Tara died at the end of season six, with "Buffy" airing one more season. Fred died in the final season of "Angel", after her body was taken over by an ancient god named Illyria. Buffy was resurrected after both of her deaths (in season 1, season 5), and the First appeared as her most often. Fred's parents were also still alive after her death, though they did not know Illyria had taken over her body. Amy Acker played Fred.

Tara was played by Amber Benson. I met Amber at a book signing (video posted on Youtube), and she was a lovely woman who still felt honored to discuss her time on "Buffy". She was clear that she never felt comfortable coming back to appear as the First, and Joss Whedon respected her decision.

Answer: Oz

Daniel "Oz" Osborne appeared first in season two as a member of Devon's band, Dingoes Ate My Baby. He arrived during a tumultuous time for Willow, who was wanting Xander as more than a friend, while he was romancing their most hated enemy (Cordelia). Oz became a werewolf after his young cousin, Jordy, bit his finger. When the burden of that identity became too much, Oz left Sunnydale to learn to control his wolf side. He returned briefly, but Tara and Willow were already in love. Seth Green appeared one last time on "Buffy", in the dream sequence episode "Restless". Oz went on to live in the canonical comic book continuation of the series.

Warren Mears, Jonathan Levinson, and Andrew Wells were all a part of the evil Trio, were all villains for a time, and were all totally human. All of these set Oz apart from them.
5. When I appeared, it was apparent I was probably going to have no redeeming moral character. I was selfish, callous, and manipulative, and worked my way into an interesting death at the hands of a Scooby.

Answer: Warren

This one may have been a bit trickier than some of the others, but not when you think about it. The First did appear as Warren (actor Adam Busch), but despite the fact that Angel had been dead before, he never appeared as Angel. That sets Warren apart from the other three. His selfishness worked out a longish arc from season five to the end of season six of "Buffy", where he ended up dying magnificently at the hands of evil Willow. She magically flayed him alive. He too went on to have a presence in the comic book continuation. Angel also died at the hands of a Scooby, in a way. Buffy speared him with a mystical sword in order to close down the stone demon Acathla and close the portal. He spent 100 years in a hell dimension afterward, though only a few months passed in Sunnydale.

Not only did Willow, Angel and Anya never have the First appear as any of them, but they also experienced a time as evil before returning back to being good. Warren was never good, at all.

Answer: Lilah

Lindsey, Angel and Cordelia all appeared in the very first episode of "Angel". Prior to this, both Angel and Cordelia were in the first episode of "Buffy". Lilah Morgan did not appear on "Angel" until the season one episode "The Ring", which was number sixteen. So, this one may have been tricky as well. Major clue- Lilah beheaded boss Linwood Murrow to save her own skin. All four were seen dying on screen at some point on either series, though I think Angel's death (when he was Liam) was seen on "Buffy". All four were survivors until the end, and both Lilah and Lindsey experienced surprise attacks when it happened to them, though Lindsey's was not a misdirect for other characters. Jasmine killed both Cordelia and Lilah (Jasmine still inside Cordy when Lilah died), and everyone thought it had been Angelus who killed Lilah until Angel returned to said it wasn't. Lindsey was killed by Lorne, who was doing one last job for Angel. And, of course, Angel died (as Liam) at the hands of Darla, and later in a way, when Buffy "killed" him to stop Acathla.
7. Yes, so I was at times demony. That didn't make me a bad person, did it? I offered council and advice to my pals, as well as clues to people in need. When it was time to go out, I died a hero and passed along my gift with a quick kiss.

Answer: Doyle

Doyle appeared in the first episode of "Angel", as the man with the visions from the PTB (Powers that Be). Doyle and Cordelia kept Angel tied to humanity, and Doyle's visions directed the gang where to fight in Los Angeles. Doyle died a hero, in the episode "Hero", but not before he passed his visions onto an unprepared Cordelia in the form of their only kiss. Doyle was played by the late, great, Glenn Quinn. Glenn will probably be best known as Mark Healy on the series "Roseanne". He died in 2002 from an accidental drug overdose.

Jesse and The Master died in season one "Buffy", while Harmony lived on into the comic books. But, all three of these characters were vampires. The Master was actually Darla's sire. He turned her into a vampire before she died of a venereal disease in the 1600s. Jesse McNally was played for two episodes by Eric Balfour, who went on to appear on "Six Feet Under", "24", "Conviction", and "Haven".
8. When we first met, I was in a position of power. No one seemed to question my methodology. I tried to pass on some of my knowledge to the slayer, but sharing her limelight was hard. In the end, the number 314 was my undoing.

Answer: Maggie

Professor Maggie Walsh taught Psych 105 to college freshmen Buffy, Willow and Oz. She was also in charge of Riley and the commando squad from the Initiative. She tried to share Riley, and the Initiative, with Buffy. But, Buffy's inquisitive ways threatened Maggie, who arranged to have Buffy killed.

It didn't work. Soon afterward, Maggie was skewered through the back by her pet project Adam. He was also known as number 314. Robin, Flutie, and Snyder were all men, all principals at Sunnydale High, and were all questioned by Buffy. Flutie and Snyder also shared an unfortunate death by being eaten.
9. I was once a watcher. I was the first watcher Angel ever saw. I was in Los Angeles and saw Buffy at her high school; Hemery. In the film version I was shown to have killed myself, but on TV, Buffy never explained what happened to me.

Answer: Merrick

All four choices were once watchers. But, three were fired by the Watcher's Council at some point, though Giles was reinstated later upon Buffy's demand. Merrick was Buffy's first watcher, on big screen and small screen, but he was not fired. The TV series never explained what happened to him, but one may assume Buffy was re-assigned to Giles upon her mother's move to Sunnydale. Angel was there with Whistler to see Buffy called as a slayer by Merrick, outside of Hemery High.

He subsequently met Giles, then Gwendolyn, and the Wesley.

The latter of which he worked closely with on "Angel". Donald Sutherland played Merrick in the NON-canon feature film, and Richard Riehle played him in the season two finale episodes "Becoming". Richard went on to star in many TV series and films.
10. I was once a poet, nicknamed for just that feat. My true love scorned my feeble advances, leaving me a crumbled mess. That very night I ran into my future, out on the dark streets of my home town. Afterward I made an attempt to make my mum my companion forever.

Answer: Spike

Angel and Spike were both vampires with a soul. Spike fought for his soul, while Angelus had his shoved back down his throat in 1898, awakening Angel. Both Angel and Spike played parts in the final battles on both "Buffy" and "Angel". Both had human first names that derived from the same source- William. Both were seen turning to dust on screen at some point. Angel was seen in "Buffy: The Wish", and Spike in "Buffy: Chosen". But, it was Angel, Fred and Groo who all spent time in Pylea. It was Groo's home dimension, and Fred went there through a portal and spent five years fleeing from slavery. Angel, Gunn, Wes, and Lorne all went to Pylea to save Cordelia, and came home with Fred in tow.

After Spike was sired by Drusilla, he sired his own sick mum. After her change, she tore into him with all sorts of dreadful insults and imagery. She even tried to "shag" him, insinuating all the while it was what he'd always wanted from her. He staked her quickly there after, and spent the next long while trying to be as bad as possible. `Angel, Spike, Wes, and Lorne all popped up in comic continuations after the series both ended. Gunn did as well, but he didn't last long.
