Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the first two episodes of the competition, the queens were split into two smaller groups and, from each, one was eliminated. How many queens competed in the competition altogether?

Answer: Fourteen

To the queens' surprise, upon arriving in the work room, competitors realized that they would be competing in a group of seven. This meant that in the first episode, the first seven queens would compete against each other and in the second, the remaining seven would be going head-to-head. Both groups needed to participate in a photo shoot with Mike Ruiz and RuPaul as per premiere tradition before diving into a maxi-challenge involving a runway look (the first was themed around TV and the second was themed around party supplies). Kelly Mantle was eliminated in the first group and Magnolia Crawford was eliminated in the second.
2. In the very beginning of the competition, RuPaul established which rule for the season?

Answer: No one would receive immunity

With an interesting, new start to the competition, Ru also told this season's queens that they would need to step up their game to succeed and prove their worth. With many queens referring to "RuPaul's Drag Race" as 'The Olympics of Drag', it made sense for Ru to do away with individual immunity which would carry over to subsequent rounds (or any immunity at all).

She claimed that it would require people to work hard every round if they truly valued their spot in the game.
3. In the third and fourth episodes of the season, the queens were asked to prove their talents in which field?

Answer: Acting

Both the third and fourth episodes of the season involved acting challenges leading the queens to show their talents in both faux horror shorts (called 'Drag Race Me to Hell') and in a live musical called 'Shade: The Rusical'. Interestingly, coming off the first couple of episodes, queens competing in the first of these challenges ended up splitting off into their original groups to compete.

This loyalty broke down a bit going into 'Shade: The Rusical' when queens broke off to complete different acts for the performance.
4. What classic game of celebrity impersonations featured the top ten queens of the season?

Answer: Snatch Game

A staple challenge for the show, the final ten queens all ended up on the Snatch Game panel this season, each portraying different celebrities they considered to be part of their impression wheelhouses. This season saw celebrities like Judge Judy, Nicki Minaj, Anna-Nicole Smith, and Bendelacreme's winning portrayal of Maggie Smith.

This season, the players of Snatch Game were Gillian Jacobs and Heather McDonald. After a poor showing as Kim Kardashian, Gia Gunn was sent home after a lipsync.
5. In week six, the queens ended up making verses to the song 'Oh No, She Betta Don't', completing a music video for which musical style?

Answer: '90s rap

This round of the competition had the top nine queens work under the scrutinous eyes of '90s rappers Trina and Eve as they created personal lyrics and moves for a '90s-style rap battle video called 'Oh No, She Betta Don't'. The attitude in this episode followed the classic 'Reading is Fundamental' mini-challenge and resulted in Milk's elimination from the competition, removing a competitor that many of the other queens criticized for her more abstract, boundary-pushing aesthetic.
6. During the seventh week of the competition, Bendelacreme and Darienne Lake faced off in a lipsynch. Who went home?

Answer: Neither

In this episode, the final eight queens were split into teams of two as decided by RuPaul to work together and create an advertisement for a specific demographic to show off the new Glamazon cosmetic line. As such, one team ended up acting as mean girls, another played cougars, another played housewives, and another played working women. Bendelacreme and Darienne Lake pushed their characters to the bottom two and lipsynched against one another, but RuPaul wanted to see more from both and refused to eliminate either one.
7. Who of these was not a guest judge during this season of "RuPaul's Drag Race"?

Answer: Cher

While Cher was not present as a judge this season, both Chaz Bono and Cher's mother, Georgia Holt, were present during week nine for a challenge in which the queens had to act as talk show hosts interviewing famous celebrities. Both Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka appeared as judges in week ten during a gender-swapped wedding-themed episode, Bruce Vilanch was present for a stand-up comedy challenge in week eight, and Leah Remini was on the panel in week seven.
8. The final challenge of the competition involved creating a music video for what RuPaul single?

Answer: Sissy That Walk

Appearing on the album "Born Naked", the song ended up releasing as a single in 2014 when this season first aired. In the final week of the competition, Ru asked the final four queens to not only dance (both choreographed and improvised) for the music video, but to act in two short scenes themed around the messages explored in the song/video. Ultimately, the final four queens had to lipsync on the stage at the same time (to "Sissy That Walk") before Darienne Lake was eliminated sending the final three to the live finale.
9. Which queen won the Miss Congeniality award during the sixth season of "RuPaul's Drag Race"?

Answer: Bendelacreme

Dela proved to be the fan favourite for the sash when the queens reunited live, onstage for the season finale, winning out over the other queens and being handed the gift certificate prize for doing so (from former Miss Congeniality Ivy Winters, who presented the award on stilts). Bendelacreme would later return to the show in "RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars 3" in 2017, quitting in sixth place despite being a top contender for the hall of fame.
10. Who won "RuPaul's Drag Race" season 6, becoming America's Next Drag Superstar?

Answer: Bianca Del Rio

In the live reunion show and finale, it was New York insult comic Bianca Del Rio who took the crown over Adore Delano and Courtney Act, winning a supply of Colorevolution cosmetics and the $100,000 prize. And the crown and title, of course. In the end, Bianca Del Rio was one of only two queens who didn't end up in the bottom two during the competition (along with finalist Courtney Act), winning in three different weeks.

In fact, she never placed in the lower half of contestants in judging sessions all season-- a first for the show.
