Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which episode depicts a mutiny on board Voyager?

Answer: Worst Case Scenario

The mutiny doesn't actually take place, but was part of a training simulation developed by Tuvok for the holodeck. It is discovered by B'Elanna, who thinks it is a holonovel and it soon spreads throughout the ship.
2. What was the first name of the daughter of B'Elanna Torres and Tom Paris?

Answer: It's never mentioned

Her name is never given on screen, but it was listed on the script of "Endgame" as Miral Paris. Even though she is seen as an adult in an alternate timeline in "Endgame" she is only referred to as Ensign Paris. She was born as Voyager came through the Borg transwarp hub, just as they get back to Earth. She was named after B'Elanna's mother.
3. In the episode "Timeless", which technology did the Voyager crew attempt to use to get home faster?

Answer: Quantum slipstream drive

The quantum slipstream drive was first seen in the episode "Hope and Fear." At that time, the new drive was deemed unusable. Tom Paris and Harry Kim modified it with benamite crystals, making another attempt possible. Even so, a temporal variance in the slipstream brought about failure.
4. Hasperat was only mentioned a couple of times during the series. What is it?

Answer: spicy Bajoran food

Ro Laren was known to like hasperat and knew how to make a very spicy variety that was handed down to her by her father. In the episode "Preemptive Strike" she offered to make it as part of her effort to infiltrate the Maquis.
5. In the episode "Scorpion" which race did Captain Janeway form an alliance with?

Answer: Borg

Voyager must attempt to go through Borg territory, but is confronted by a new threat posed by Species 8472. Since the Borg are also in danger of losing to the new enemy, they find it necessary to team up.
6. Which statement about the episode "The Killing Game" is NOT true?

Answer: Voyager goes back in time

Voyager had been taken over by the Hirogen and the holodecks set up for their hunts. In the first scene, Captain Janeway is shown as a Klingon, battling several other Klingons. The rest of the episode takes place in a World War II setting, with Seven of Nine as a tavern singer and B'Elanna Torres as a pregnant French woman who is having an affair with a Nazi officer.
7. Who never guest starred in "Star Trek: Voyager"?

Answer: Barbara Anderson

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson played a Pendari Champion in "Tsunkatse."
John Rhys-Davies played a holographic Leonardo da Vinci in "Concerning Flight."
Sarah Silverman played Rain Robinson in "Future's End."
Barbara Anderson played Lenore in "The Conscience of the King" from the original series.
8. In the episode "Friendship One", who dies?

Answer: Joe Carey

Carey was among a group of the crew who were being held hostage on a planet by the Uxali. He was killed in an effort to force Captain Janeway to evacuate the planet.
9. In the episode "Natural Law", what type of training is Tom Paris ordered to go through?

Answer: pilot

While in orbit of the planet Ledos in the Delta Flyer, Paris breaks a local law. The authorities decide that he must take flight lessons as punishment and Captain Janeway agrees.
10. In every television show, you have a group of main characters. In addition there are recurring characters and extras that are needed to round out the cast. Most of the time, they have very few or no lines to speak. Which of these recurring characters was shown in the most "Voyager" episodes?

Answer: Ayala

Of the 168 episodes, Ayala was shown in 120 of them. By far the highest total of any non-main character in the series. He was at different times a security officer, a tactical officer and operations officer. He was left in temporary command of the bridge in the episode "Twisted." Even though he survived the entire run of the series, he rarely spoke, having just a hand full of lines during the seven seasons.
