Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What "creature" did the brothers stop in the first two minutes of "ScoobyNatural"?

Answer: Stuffed dinosaur

The episode opened with the brothers fighting a large stuffed dinosaur. They were finally able to stop in by dousing it in holy oil and setting it on fire. After it blew up, the grateful shop owner said, "You guys just took down an evil plushie that was trying to kill me." Later in the episode, the brothers discovered the dinosaur had been possessed by a ghost.
2. In "ScoobyNatural," Dean tried to convince Sam that they were like Scooby and the gang. When Sam pointed out that they did not have a talking dog, Dean replied that ______ is kind of like a talking dog."

Answer: Cas

From the moment he saw the Mystery Machine, Dean was as excited as a small child at Christmas. He reminded Sam that they watched the show growing up, and he told him that he considered the cartoon characters "role models," that they did the same thing as those characters, going "to spooky places," and taking on ghosts. Sam reminded him that the ghosts the brothers fought "don't wear masks," and they "don't have a talking dog." Dean replied, "I don't know. Cas is kind of like a talking dog."
3. What episode of "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!" were the brothers trapped in during "ScoobyNatural"?

Answer: "A Night of Fright is No Delight"

Dean recognized the episode when they arrived at the mansion, telling Sam he had seen the episode "like a million times." "A Night of Fright is No Delight" was episode 16 of season 1 of "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!" The other three episodes were all in season 2 of the series.
4. What was the name of the magazine that Ketch was reading as he waited to see Asmodeus in "The Thing"?

Answer: "Leaps and Ladders"

Ketch was reading - or at least pretending to read - a childrens' magazine called "Leaps & Ladders." The cover mentioned comics, puzzles, animals, crafts and jokes; and the back mentioned courtesy lessons.
5. In "The Thing," the monster from the other dimension told Dean that the Men of Letters had opened the rift, but closed it after she came through, preventing her mate from coming through, as well. Dean said it was "tragic" and "like a Hallmark movie. But with _______."

Answer: tentacles

In their efforts to rescue Mary and Jack from the Apocalypse world, the brothers went to the Men of Letters chapter in Rhode Island, searching for a crystal that had been used to open a rift to another world a century ago. They found a young woman named Sandy tied up. Sandy turned out to be a monster from another world.

She kidnapped and tied up Dean, planning to open the rift so her mate could possess him. When she told Dean her tale of woe, his sarcastic response was, "Oh my God, that's tragic.

It's like a Hallmark movie. But with tentacles."
6. At the end of "The Thing," Dean went through the rift to Apocalypse world. Who went with him?

Answer: Ketch

Much to Sam's dismay, Dean went without him. He told his brother that if something went wrong, Sam needed to stay behind to rescue him. Since Ketch knew he was being hunted by Asmodeus for stealing the Prince of Hell's prisoner and archangel blade, he decided to get off their world and join Dean. Dean agreed.
7. Arriving in Apocalypse world, Dean saw a prisoner of Michael's soldiers with a very familiar face. What character who died in season 10 appeared in "Bring 'Em Back Alive"?

Answer: Charlie

Dean and Ketch witnessed angels killing human prisoners. Then, one prisoner was unmasked, and Dean realized it was Charlie - from this other world. Dean and Ketch followed the angels and Charlie back to their camp, in the hopes of saving Charlie and finding Mary and Jack.
8. Gabriel wrote his story on the walls during "Bring 'Em Back Alive." What did he say he did, which was what "anyone would do" if everyone thought they were dead?

Answer: He moved to Monte Carlo and shacked up with porn stars

Cas read the story to Sam, translating the Enochian. Gabriel had tricked Lucifer into killing a fake Gabriel in season 5. Gabriel talked about being free, with no obligations, so he "moved to Monte Carlo and shacked up with porn stars." Cas then told Sam that he went "on and on for quite a while about porn stars." Gabriel next wrote about his capture and endless torture by Asmodeus, who fed on Gabriel's grace.
9. Who killed Asmodeus in "Bring 'Em Back Alive"?

Answer: Gabriel

Asmodeus tracked down Gabriel to the bunker. He first called Sam and demanded Sam return the archangel he'd been feeding on for so long. When Sam refused, he attacked, breaking into the bunker. Sam and Cas attempted to stop him. Then Gabriel, who had gotten some of his grace back when Ketch stole it from Asmodeus and Sam and Cas gave it to him, found the power to fight back and killed Asmodeus.
10. What dance did Rowena perform during the art exhibition at the beginning of "Funeralia"?

Answer: Tango

Rowena and her partner performed a flawless tango - and as she was dipped by her partner, she executed a spell that caused a woman to burst into flames. This scene took place in Portland, Oregon; the same city the brothers were in during season 6's "Like a Virgin."
11. In "Funeralia," the reaper Jessica told the brothers she had been watching them. What is NOT something she mentioned to prove she had seen everything?

Answer: The stash of candy bars in Sam's dresser drawer

Jessica told the brothers she had been watching them on Death's orders, ever since Dean almost died in "Advanced Thanatology." They were both clearly uneasy to hear all she had seen. While she mentioned the other three items, she did not mention candy, and it would be unlikely that Sam would stash candy, since he always eats healthy, as was again exhibited in the episode right before "Funeralia," - "Bring 'Em Back Alive." Jessica offered to help stop Rowena, who was killing people before their times - and killing reapers, as well.
12. According to the reaper in "Funeralia," in Death's notebook of all the ways Rowena might die, who always kills her?

Answer: Sam

When Dean met with Jessica and Death during "Advanced Thanatology," he saw a whole shelf of ways that he could die. According to Jessica, though, all the ways Rowena dies are by Sam Winchester. Therefore, Jessica went to Sam to stop Rowena.
13. What angel, who appeared to have been killed in season 8, appeared alive and well in season 13's "Funeralia"?

Answer: Naomi

Naomi appeared to be killed by Metatron in the season 8 episode "Sacrifice," but she showed up in season 13's "Funeralia." She explained to Castiel that "a drill in the head" was not enough to kill her. Castiel listed her many atrocities, and she responded that "those were simpler times." She then explained that there were so few angels left that heaven was running out of power, and she told him they needed Gabriel to keep heaven running. Without him, heaven would crumble and all the souls in heaven would fall to earth and become ghosts.
14. What did Rowena want from Death in "Funeralia"?

Answer: Crowley brought back

Rowena told the brothers that Fergus (Crowley) deserved better. Dean told her he was not coming back, and she replied, "Are only Winchesters allowed to come back from the dead? The rest of us just have to accept it? I don't think so. I'm putting Death on notice." She then tried to blackmail Death into bringing back her son by threatening to kill Sam, but Death refused.
15. In "Funeralia," Dean told Rowena, "You changed other people's fates. Maybe _______."

Answer: we can change yours

Rowena used her power on Death to try to force her to bring Crowley back. It had no impact on Death. Once Death left, and a weeping Rowena was left with Sam and Dean, they told her Crowley's fate was not her fault, and asked her to help them save the world.

They also told her Lucifer was back. She noted that Sam was destined to kill her, but Dean responded with this statement. He then asked her to join them in their efforts to save their family and their world.
