"Supernatural" Season 13, Episodes 8 through 11 Quiz

Answer: Demon

The brothers were dealing with the demon Barthemus (or Bart), who was a crossroad demon and who coerced them into stealing something in exchange for a nephilim tracking spell to find Jack. However, after successfully committing the theft, they ended up killing the demon, and lost the spell.

After Bart gave the brothers half of the tracking spell, Sam translated the document. He told his brother that it dated back to the "time of King Solomon" who "commissioned it to keep tabs on the Queen of Sheba, who according to the lore, was half angel." Dean's classic translation of that information was that "King Solomon created a spell so that he could stalk his girlfriend."

Answer: Smash and Grab

Bart explained that the girl, Smash, could "crack any safe built by man" and Grab, the demon, was an "expert in bypassing supernatural security." Viewers later learned that Smash's name was Alice, and she was forced to work for the demon on threat of being dragged to Hell.

Answer: They had been to Hell and back

Bart explained that while Smash could crack the safe, it could only be opened with the blood of a man who had been to Hell and back. In the episode, there was a flashback to Dean's time in Hell at the end of season 3, and he was the one who used his blood to open the safe. Long time viewers of the show knew that either brother could have used his blood, since Sam also went to Hell at the end of season 5, and again to rescue Bobby in season 8.

Answer: They were dreamwalkers

Both the artist Derek and the girl Kaia were dreamwalkers, able to see into other worlds. Jack tracked them down, looking for help locating Mary in Apocalypse world. Unfortunately, while Jack was searching for Mary, the angels were searching for Jack, and they tortured and killed Derek.

Jack had no interest in his biological father. After Jack told the brothers that they were his family, Dean replied, "Yes, we are! Finding mom - you did a good thing, kid. You did a real good thing."

Answer: Sam and Dean

At the end of the episode, Kaia and Jack attempted to use Kaia's dreamwalking and Jack's powers to transport the two of them and the Winchesters to Apocalypse World. They thought they could save Mary and escape the angels who were after Jack. But, Kaia was unable to keep her focus on Apocalypse World. So, Jack was transported to Mary in Apocalypse world, Kaia was thrown clear of the boat where they were under attack by the angels, and Sam and Dean were transported to the Bad Place.

Answer: "I am the Fire" by Halestorm

As "I am the Fire" played, the viewer watched clips of the "Wayward Sisters," including Patience, Claire, Alex, Kaia, Jody and Donna. And, there were clips of the episodes before the mid-season break, reminding the viewers that the Winchester brothers were trapped in one alternate world, Mary and Jack were in another, and Patience had gotten a premonition and gone to see Jody.

Answer: Biker Barbie

Claire commented on Alex's purple scrubs, and Alex responded, "It's a uniform. What's your excuse?" Claire said, "I look great," and Alex responded, "You look like Biker Barbie." "Biker Barbie" refers to a limited edition Barbie doll manufactured by Mattel.

Answer: Claire and Kaia

Claire and Kaia went through the door to the Bad Place, while Jody, Donna, Alex and Patience stayed behind on the ship and fought the monsters that had come through the door. Kaia knew her way around, and was able to find the brothers and get back to the door. But, before they were able to cross back, the hooded figure threw a spear and killed Kaia.

The brothers and Claire came back through the door alone.

Answer: Kaia

The show ended with Claire writing in her journal, and doing a voice over of what she was writing. At the end, she said she was going to kill the hooded figure that had killed Kaia. Just at that moment, the camera showed the figure come through the door and remove the hood, and the viewers saw it looked like Kaia.

This, combined with the other monsters that Sam warned Jody may have come through the other door, and the family relationships and drama formed by the women, set everything up for a possible "Wayward Sisters" series.

Answer: Donna

Sheriff Donna Hanscum called the brothers and asked for help after her niece disappeared. While they were hunting for a human abductor, they later found out he was kidnapping people and auctioning off his victims piece by piece to monsters in a macabre online auction.

Answer: The Butterfly

Agent Clegg explained to the brothers that he had been chasing the Butterfly for twelve years, and shared his book, containing information on every disappearance he connected to the abductor. Later in the episode, when Clegg is revealed as the Butterfly, the viewer realizes that the scrapbook is his sick memorabilia.

Answer: Twilight

Dean said this as he prepared to kill the vampire, but Donna shot the vampire first. This was the second time Dean referenced "Twilight" when facing a vampire. In "Free to be You and Me," he said "Eat it, Twilight," right before killing a vampire.

Answer: bloody

Sam was struggling during "Breakdown," staying in bed, not hungry, and reluctant to take on cases. His brother, who was in a similar state during the first half of the season, tried to help him. This was Sam's response.
