After his mother died, Scott, the shopkeeper, found the objects in curse boxes and not realizing the danger, sold them. Sam and Dean were able to recover and secure all the objects.

When "Lucifer" was taunting Sam, he noted it had been five days since he'd slept. He then said the longest anyone had gone without sleep was 11 days, so Sam would be dead in a week. It was then that Sam was hit by the car and brought to the hospital.

Sam put the ghost of Marin's brother to rest in "The Born-Again Identity." He did this by burning the bracelet with Marin's brother's blood on it. This put the brother's spirit to rest.

Meg said this in "The Born-Again Identity" when she and Dean were outside the hospital and she was trying to convince Dean to tell Cas that he was an angel. After Cas killed the demons, she called him "Clarence," a reference to the angel in the movie, "A Wonderful Life". She called Castiel Clarence in "Abandon All Hope" and "Caged Heat" as well.

Garth is goofy, but funny. "You've been Garthed" is a great line. Later, when he found out another person had been killed, he was quite indignant, since he had "Garthed" the killer. Of course, the killer was not the ghost of Jenny Greentree, and Sam and Dean ended up finding and stopping the killer.

The Winchesters were hunting a shojo. This was a Japanese monster that could be harnessed to kill one's enemies.

There were several clues in earlier episodes that Bobby's ghost was around before this incident. In this episode, Garth suggested that Bobby's ghost was hanging on through his flask. Then, the moving sword made Dean question whether he was right. Dean and Sam convinced themselves it was not possible. Then, of course, the viewer was allowed to see Ghost Bobby.

Sam told Dean that Annie had been with Bobby. Dean was surprised, and Sam told him it was a "foxhole thing, very heavyweight." Dean then admitted that he'd been with her too - also "very heavyweight." Dean then noticed the expression on Sam's face, and realized Sam had been with her too. Sam's sheepish explanation to Dean was that they had been on the same case, she was stressed and he was soulless at the time. Dean responded, "That's a lot of foxholes."

Whitman had killed his fiancée and numerous prostitutes, and framed Dexter for the crimes, before killing him too. As a ghost, Whitman continued to kill people, including the four kids killed during the episode and Annie.
