Starsky and Hutch were a pair of very cool detectives working in California. Starsky was played by Paul Michael Glaser and Hutch by David Soul. The series 'Starsky and Hutch' ran from 1975-1979 and was very popular.

In the programme 'Dalziel and Pascoe' Andy Dalziel and Peter Pascoe are Yorkshire detectives, based on the novels of Reginald Hill. Dalziel, ably played by the late Warren Clarke, is the brash and uncouth one, always being insensitive and saying the wrong thing.
His partner Pascoe, played by Colin Buchanan, is polite, sensitive and calm. Despite their differences they are good friends.

Chief Inspector Christopher Foyle is a retired police officer who is called back to duty during the Second World War, and the programme is called 'Foyle's War'.
