Heading out from the race's fourth Pit Stop outside the Krasnoyarsk Theater of Musical Comedy in the beginning of Leg 5, teams needed to head to the central train station in Krasnoyarsk to hitch a ride on the Trans-Siberian Railway. All seven remaining teams needed to take a ride over four hundred miles through Siberia to their next destination, the city of Novosibirsk, Russia's third-largest city and the largest in Siberia. Because of departure times, all seven teams rode the train overnight.

Answer: Tammy and Victor

Upon arriving in the city of Novosibirsk, teams were told to take a taxi from the train station to Punkt Tekhnicheskogo Osmotra where they would receive a stick-shift car and their next clue, the Detour for this leg of the race. In the 'Russian Snowplow' task, teams needed to travel through the city to find a marked parking lot.

Here, both team members, one at a time, needed to enter a cumbersome Russian snowplow and drive this heavy machinery along a marked course (and turn it around) to receive the next clue. Tammy and Victor, Jaime and Cara, Margie and Luke, and Mark and Michael finished this task.

Answer: An apartment complex

In the 'Russian Bride' option of this leg's Detour, teams needed to drive themselves through Novosibirsk to find a Soviet apartment complex. Then they needed to locate a specific building and room containing their proper bride. Continuing on, teams took their bride along for the ride to deliver her to the proper groom at a church in downtown Novosibirsk, Voznesensky Cathedral. Mel and Mike, Kisha and Jen, and Christie and Jodi completed this task and received their next clue from the happy couple.

Answer: Team members performed it in their underwear.

After the Detour, teams received a clue leading them to the ridiculously-long-named Gosudarstvennaya Publichnaya Nauchnaya Tekhnicheskaya Biblioteka. This library housed their next task, the Road Block for this leg of the race. Here, one member with enough stamina and no shame was required to strip down to their underwear and perform a mile and a half jog through the city of Novosibirsk in below-freezing weather. Luke, Cara, Tammy, Mike, Mark, Jen, and Christie finished this Road Block.

Answer: Margie and Luke

At the end of the Road Block, team members arrived at the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre where their teammate waited and where they could check into their fifth Pit Stop in the main theater. Here, Margie and Luke placed first (their second time in the race) and won a trip for two to St. Lucia courtesy of Travelocity. Christie and Jodi, who placed first in the previous leg, fell to last place in Novosibirsk and arrived in seventh. Luckily, the two had done so on the first of only two non-elimination legs of the race.

Answer: Jaipur

In Leg 6, teams departed from the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre in Siberia, Russia and headed to the airport to fly over a thousand miles to the city of Moscow, and then to Jaipur, India. This was definitely a temperature difference. Teams emerged into the sweltering heat of India and were told to locate Dhula Village outside Jaipur via taxi.

Here, teams needed to find the Sacred Tree at which they would find telephones. When the teams called one of four numbers given to them, they would receive their next clue telling them to go to the Amber Fort.

Answer: Camels

Teams taxied back into Jaipur to visit the famous Amber Fort overlooking Maota Lake. Here, one member of each team needed to complete a Road Block task in a marked parking lot. For this task, the chosen teammate needed to feed camels by using traditional tools to first pile hay and then fill a trough with water until it overflowed. Once teams satisfied their camels, they could receive their next clue. Victor, Jaime, Mel, Margie, Kisha, Mark, and Jodi completed this task before moving on.

After the Road Block, teams needed to find Johari Bazar Road in Jaipur to locate the Ramniwas Ramgopal Puppet Store. This is were teams found the next route marker and where Christie and Jodi found their Speed Bump task. For this, the duo needed to go to Kala Hanuman Temple in Jaipur to paint elephants' faces with special paints.

When their trainer approved of the paint job, they would be able to return to the race course from where they left off.

Answer: Shakers

When everyone arrived at the Puppet Store, they located the Detour task for this leg of the race. In this Detour, teams chose between 'Movers' and 'Shakers'. In 'Movers', teams needed to bring a rickshaw filled with containers from Sanganeri Gate one and a half miles to Zorawar Singh Gate where they could search them for one containing a metal elephant which could be traded for their next clue.

In 'Shakers', teams needed to don local attire and learn a traditional dance from a local troupe. Once comfortable, teams would need to perform the dance for locals for tips, and if they accumulated a hundred rupees they would receive their clue. Only Mark and Michael completed 'Movers' while the rest chose 'Shakers'.

Answer: Christie and Jodi

After the Detour, teams were told to head to the next Pit Stop of the race, Jaigarh Fort overlooking the city. Tammy and Victor took their second first place victory of the race winning themselves each a kayak for use after the race (certainly wouldn't have helped them in Russia anyways...). Christie and Jodi, who came back strong after their mandatory Speed Bump task, were unable to catch up to the last teams finishing up the Detour, and despite a very close finish, they became the fifth team eliminated from the race.
