"The Amazing Race 25" [3] Trivia Quiz

Answer: Marrakesh

Leaving the VM Houses in Copenhagen, Denmark early in the morning, the eight racing teams headed directly to the airport to hop on the quickest flight southward to the city of Marrakesh, Morocco. When the teams arrived, they were required to visit the Jemaa el-Fnaa marketplace to find their first clue.

Here, Misti and Jim completed their Speed Bump task, requiring that they visit a local carpet shop, haul rugs through the city, and properly hang them along a wall to continue with the leg. All of the other teams were told to pull a food cart into the marketplace and assist with its setting up to get their next clue.

Answer: Tanned hides

Following the food cart task, teams delved deeper into the marketplace on foot to locate their Road Block task at the Bab Debbagh Tannery. Here, one member of each team needed to locate and clean three hides. Then, they had to take three different hides, bundle them onto bicycles, and deliver them to a cobbler elsewhere in the marketplace (with only a name for reference).

When complete, they could bring their receipt back to the tannery to get their next clue. Keith, Nici, Bethany, Misti, Brooke, Kym, Amy, and Tim completed the Road Block.

After the Road Block, teams were thrust into their Detour choices for this leg, a choice between 'Tea Time' and 'Twirl Time'. In 'Tea Time', teams collected a samovar and tea set and took it to Palais Gharnata where both members had to learn how to serve team (properly) to the patrons therein. Adam and Bethany, Tim and Te Jay, Misti and Jim, Brooke and Robbie, and Keith and Whitney completed this task. Kym and Alli, Shelley and Nici, and Amy and Maya completed 'Twirl Time' in which they gathered instruments and headed to the bazaar to join a local musical troupe.

When they could play and twirl their hat tassel to the beat for a solid minute they could continue.

Answer: Shelley and Nici

Completing the Detour, teams were given a clue sending them through the marketplace to find the upper balcony of the Cafe Glacier. There, everyone stepped in front of the Double U-Turn and were given the choice of sending another team to the other Detour option.

Here, only Shelley and Nici decided to use the race mechanic to send Keith and Whitney back to complete 'Twirl Time'. After this, teams could head to the Pit Stop.

Answer: Keith and Whitney

Following their visit to the Double U-Turn, teams were told to race through the market's side-streets to the Al Matjar Carpet Shop and their fifth Pit Stop. Here, Kym and Alli narrowly slid into first place ahead of Adam and Bethany to take their second consecutive win.

This time, they won $5,000 each for their victory. In the end, Keith and Whitney ended up landing on the mat in last place, more than two hours after the other teams, as they were already last and were forced to complete both Detour options.

They were the fourth team eliminated from the race.

Answer: Horse-drawn carriage

To begin their sixth leg of the race, the remaining seven teams headed out from the Al Matjar Carpet Shop on foot and were told to locate a marked spot ten miles away at El Massi. Here, they needed to transport a sack of hay each through the nearby streets to a stable, then haul them to the roof of the building.

When this was done, they could take two apples and ride in a horse-drawn carriage back to the Koutoubia Mosque and, when the horses were fed the apples at the end, they could receive their next clue.

Answer: Two

Driving themselves in brand-new Ford Fiesta vehicles, teams had to make their way out of the city of Marrakesh to a pottery stand in the Atlas Mountains, specifically in the town of Amizmiz. Here, teams located a Detour task. In the first of these, 'Camp', teams had to drive to a nearby Berber camp and, using another tent as an example, erect a traditional dwelling, complete with settings and seats. Only Misti and Jim and Tim and Te Jay completed this task in order to continue.

Answer: Goat

Visiting the Oumnasse Casbah for their Detour, teams choosing the 'Cream' option (instead of 'Camp') were told to make three ounces of butter from goat milk. To do this, the team members needed to use the goats in a pen, milking their udders into a bowl.

Then, when they had enough milk, they needed to inflate an animal skin and properly churn the milk to make the butter. Adam and Bethany, Kym and Alli, Amy and Maya, Brooke and Robbie, and Shelley and Nici all did this task.

Answer: Canyons

Following the Detour, teams drove onward through the Atlas Mountains to Terres d'Amanar in the town of Tahannaout. Here, one member of each team needed to play mental games, first by crossing a lengthy tightrope and bridge across a wide gorge and sliding along a zipline, and then by completing a sliding wood puzzle.

When the puzzle was solved correctly they could return to their partner via a longer, final zipline and obtain a picture of their next Pit Stop. Misti, Bethany, Te Jay, Alli, Brooke, Maya, and Shelley completed this task.

Answer: Shelley and Nici

To get to their sixth Pit Stop, the seven teams needed to use the picture given to them at the Road Block to determine that their destination was the Casbah d'If in Marrakesh. There, Misti and Jim arrived well before the other teams to win their third leg of the race.

This time they won themselves a trip for two to Brazil (having already won one to Dubai in Leg 3). After getting lost during the drive to the Detour early on, Shelley and Nici were more than an hour behind the other six teams checking in and were, thus, eliminated.
