Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the name of the client in "The Paranormal Hacktivity Job?"

Answer: Tina Reynolds

Tina Reynolds is a young woman living in an old house she inherited from her aunt Mildred, who is scared out by supernatural phenomenon. The Leverage team gets involved when Parker sees Tina hit by a car. Tina claims that the house is haunted. It turns out that Tina feels responsible for her aunt's death, for not getting her medical attention when she needed it.

Things become clearer when it turns out that Tina's home is on the parade route, and an assassin is hoping to use it as a perch for his attempt on a politician.

Tina was played by Gillian Saker. She has been acting since 2012, and is probably best known for her work on the British crime drama "Ripper Street" (2013).
2. What are the names of the thugs in "The Paranormal Hacktivity Job?"

Answer: Deke and Lyle

Deke and Lyle, the Herberts. An uncle and nephew from New Jersey, not New Orleans. They are not the sharpest knives in the drawer. The brothers run a real estate company, and Sophie suspects that the haunting is really a real estate scam. The Herberts turn out to be lousy grifters, mainly because their con is only a cover for something more nefarious.

Breanne manages to rig the Leverage headquarters to basically "home alone" the Herberts, causing them a great deal of pain. In the end, Deke plays along with the women of Leverage, enabling them to get Lyle arrested for fraud and thwart an assassination. Deke promises he will get back on the straight and narrow.

Deke was played by TC Matherne, Like many "Leverage" guests stars, he was on "NCIS: New Orleans." Maherne was in the science fiction series "The First" (2018) and in "Godzilla: King of Monsters." (2019)

Lyle was played by Mike Massimino. He is a character actor who tends to play working class guys. Like most New York actors he has been on "Law and Order: SVU" (2004). He played a cop on "The Marvelous Mrs Maisel" (2017-19).

Marv and Harry were the bandits from "Home Alone."
3. What is the name of the politician who is the Grand Marshall in the Halloween parade?

Answer: Christina Killian Santoro

Surprisingly, the generally anarchic Breanna is a fan of politician Christina Santoro. Breanna says that Santoro goes after corporate polluters, Wall Street and the mob. According to the news report, she is a district attorney from New Jersey. Apparently, her tough stance against the mob has led them to send a hitman to take her down.

Santoro is the fictional district attorney. Ocasio-Cortez is a progressive congresswoman from New York City, Catherine Cortez Masto is a Democratic Senator from Nevada, Christine Todd Whitman was Governor of New Jersey and head of the EPA.
4. Where are Harry and Eliot off to during "The Paranormal Hackivity Job"?

Answer: Brunei

According to Parker, Harry and Eliot are helping Hardison in Brunei. And it would have been really helpful to have Eliot around with an assassin roaming the building.

Brunei is a sultanate in southeast Asia. It happens to be one of the world's richest countries, because it is sitting on a large pool of petroleum. It is on the island of Borneo between two sections of Malaysia.
5. What variation does Breana put on the "Let's Go Steal" line?

Answer: Let's go con ourselves a con man

She goes with "Let's go con ourselves a con man." They hope to set up the same conditions that led the Heberts to con Tina, to show her that there is nothing supernatural about her housing, merely two lowlifes trying to scam her.
6. Who is Sophie playing in the con against the real estate grifters?

Answer: Estella Havisham

The team is banking on the fact that the Herbert brothers aren't particularly well read, as they chose on of the leading characters from Charles Dickens' "Great Expectations" as Sophie's cover.

The team hopes to use the Herbert's modus operandi of flipping homes of the recently deceased to convince Tina she was being scammed. Sophie's Estella Havesham is mourning the passing of her stepfather.

Lucie Manette is from "A Tale of Two Cities." Esther Summerson is from "Bleak House." And Nelly Trent (Little Nell) is a major character in "The Old Curiousity Shop."
7. What is the nickname of the assassin?

Answer: The Wraith

Parker recognized the Wraith as a hitman. His target is Christina Killian Santoro, Breanna's hero. He wears medallions of Saint Julian and Saint Hubert. It turns out that the contract killer has killed so many people he believes in ghosts. Sophie and Breanne are able to exploit the hitman's fears using their Halloween gear and the Herberts' simple tricks.

Matt McTighe plays The Wraith, a notorious east coast hitman. He started acting in 2002, and his credits include a brief stint on "General Hospital" (2007), "24" (2009) and lots of police dramas, including "Castle" (2011), "The Mentalist" (2013) and "Chicago PD" (2016).
8. How did Sophie describe Breanna's Halloween decorations?

Answer: A demonic kindergarten

Sophie was not amused that Breanne has turned the headquarters into a Halloween fun house, since the whole point of having a secret lair is to be inconspicuous. She was also unhappy that Breanna had used all the toilet paper for decorations. All of Breanna's Halloween gear did prove handy later on in the episode.
9. Who is NOT one of the victims of the assassin that Breanna and Sophie mention?

Answer: A New York Congressman

While the Wraith had some high profile victims, and was about to add a district attorney to the list, a member of Congress was not one of the people mentioned by Breanna or Sophie.
10. What does Parker give to their client as a housewarming gift in "The Paranormal Hacktivity Job?"

Answer: Her aunt's cane

Based on the police report, the team is able to get the insurance company to reimburse Tina for the fire damage. Tina says she is going to stay and rebuild. Parker gives Tina her aunt's cane, which survived the fire, and which Parker discovered when she was posing as an arson investigator.

Eliott and Harry make a very brief appearance at the end of "Paranormal Hacktivity" in which Parker bogarts Halloween candy and Breanna spooks them with high tech sorcery.
