These agents appeared in "The Bank Shot Job" and "The Wedding Job" in season 1 of the show. When Parker and Hardison were installing their own surveillance outside of Fowler's apartment they saw a hitman waiting nearby and were able to disarm him, but this lead to them being noticed by the two agents. Fortunately both Parker and Hardison had posed as undercover FBI agents and had a pre-existing relationship with Taggert and McSweeten, so their cover wasn't blown after all.

When the hitman reappeared at Widmark's school they realized that Fowler (with help) had arranged to have his FBI handlers (Tagget and McSweeten) killed so that he could evade custody and flee the country.

Originally everyone thought that Fowler had pulled off the con all by himself, but they realized at the musical science fair performance that Skyler's father, Mark Sanford, was in cahoots with Fowler. Sanford traded bags with Fowler in the auditorium and the team found out that he had provided Fowler with a new identity and a plane ticket to South America in exchange for Fowler's tapes of his incriminating phone conversations with Sanford.

The team was able to make this piece of information public to the entire auditorium before handing both of the men over to the FBI.
