In the beginning of the episode, George and Jerry are at the dry cleaner's. George is excited because he gets to hire his own secretary, and he decides that he doesn't want to base his whole hiring scheme on good looks. Jerry ends up dropping off his mother's fur coat at the dry cleaner's as well as a jacket.

Elaine brings the dress to Jerry to tell him that she looked great in it at Barney's. A woman at the store thought that Elaine even looked like Demi Moore. At the office, Ada ends up working wonders, and George ends up calling her an efficient marvel of organization. After a horrible movie at the theater, Kramer asks for a piece of paper so that he can write down Uma Thurman's number, so Jerry gives him his dry cleaning stub. While Kramer does this, Jerry thinks that he sees his dry cleaner go into the movie theater wearing the houndstooth jacket that he sent in.

Kramer and Elaine decide to have lunch together and go to Barney's to return Elaine's dress. Elaine ends up trying on a second dress at the store since the other one looked horrible and Kramer ends up talking to Kenny Bania in the store. Kramer sells his suit to Bania for $300 and gives it to him from his dressing room.

George, of course, has no authorization to do this, so he goes to Mr. Steinbrenner to ask him about giving her a raise (despite the fact that she's been working there for only three days). Ada ends up getting a more money than George.

Elaine tries on a new dress and looks at herself in the mirror, but she isn't sure what to believe because of the thin mirrors. She ends up going out of the store and looking at herself in the store windows down the street where she decides that she wouldn't look good in it. She goes back to the store and the employee tells her that she has to take it since it was outside.

After selling his suit to Bania, Kramer stayed in the dressing room since he had no clothes. When Jerry arrived, he tried to help Kramer. Bania ended up returning because Kramer's moisturizer burst in the suit pocket and he wanted to return it. Jerry decided to make an offer for the stub in the suit.

In the previous episode, "The Soup", Jerry needed to take Bania to Mendy's after he gave him an Armani suit. In order to get the ticket stub for his mother's fur coat, Jerry had to offer Bania two dinners at Mendy's. Jerry ends up doing this for nothing since the numbers on the ticket were smudged out.

She left it with the dry cleaner's to get a salt stain out of them. Bania ends up calling the number on the stub before it gets smudged out and he gets Kramer's date with Uma Thurman.
