Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Season four began with Snoop buying an expensive nail gun. Why did she buy it?

Answer: To seal up bodies in abandoned houses

Snoop and Chris were Marlo's enforcers; usually this entailed killing rivals or anyone who had crossed Marlo. But rather than leaving bodies on the street, Snoop and Chris took the victims-to-be into abandoned houses where they were killed and then covered with lime. Snoop and Chris then boarded up the properties, thus leaving the police to wonder where the bodies were.
2. One of the "corner kids", Duquan "Dukie" Weems, was shunned for his dirty appearance. What happened to the new clothes that school officials gave to Dukie in season four?

Answer: His family sold them

Mrs. Donnelly asked one of the other students to deliver clothes to Dukie and to make sure she didn't give them to any of the adults in the house. After Prez gave Dukie more clothes, Prez asked a student why Dukie was still showing up in dirty clothes, and she told him that "his people sold them". Prez then took Dukie under his wing - giving him food and washing his clothes for him.
3. Randy Wagstaff was a good kid who made "bad decisions", according to his foster mother. Why did Randy have to leave his foster mother and move into a group home at the end of season four?

Answer: She was gravely injured when their house was fire-bombed

Randy was in trouble at school after a girl falsely claimed she was raped in a bathroom while Randy stood lookout. To avoid having the school officials call his foster mother, Randy told them that he would tell them about a murder. Prez called Major Daniels, who recommended that Carver talk to Randy, but Carver handed the assignment to Herc, who naturally bungled it and let one of the dealers know that Randy was the snitch. Randy was then bullied by the other kids until the dealers turned up the heat and fire-bombed his house.
4. Michael Lee was a moody kid with a chip on his shoulder, but he was a good student, a promising boxer, a devoted guardian to his little brother, and he ran the household in lieu of his drug-addicted mother. What happened to Michael at the end of season four?

Answer: He joined the Stanfield crew as an enforcer

Michael had a problem with older men; he rejected Cutty's friendship when Cutty offered to coach him at the gym, and he wouldn't discuss his problems with the sympathetic Prez. We found out that he might have been abused; when his half-brother's father showed up, Michael asked Marlo to get rid of him, which led to the man being beaten to death by Marlo's enforcer, Chris. Michael and his brother then moved into a house provided by Marlo, and Michael joined the crew, working as an enforcer with Chris and Snoop.
5. In season four, what item did Marlo Stanfield take from Andre, the convenience store manager, which in turn was taken by Omar and then Officer Walker before ending up with Michael?

Answer: A ring

When Andre reported Omar's theft of the stash to Marlo, Marlo took Andre's ring since Andre "owed" him. Omar then stole it from Marlo when Omar robbed him during a poker game. Officer Walker took the ring from Omar when he arrested Omar, and Michael then took the ring from Officer Walker when he attacked Walker with paint in an alley.

At the end of the season, Marlo saw that Michael had the ring and asked where he got it. Michael asked Marlo if he wanted it, but Marlo told him to keep it.
6. In season four, Cutty threw Michael out of the gym after Michael attacked Namond. What happened when Cutty went to apologize to Michael?

Answer: Cutty was shot in the leg

Namond wanted to get Michael's attention at the gym, so he started picking on Dukie, and Michael responded by attacking Namond. Cutty broke it up and told Michael to leave. After Namond told Cutty that Michael had changed and was hanging out with Marlo's gang, Cutty went to see Michael.

He found him on a corner with some of Marlo's gang, and when Cutty tried to talk to Michael, one of the gang members shot him.
7. Bubbles tried to hang himself in a police interrogation room during season four. Why had he turned himself into the police?

Answer: He accidentally killed his roommate

Bubbles had been having a tough time with one of the street thugs who kept beating him up and stealing his money, his drugs and his inventory. Herc was supposed to help him in exchange for information, but every time Bubbles called him, Herc was busy. Bubbles decided to take matters into his own hands; he filled some drug vials with cyanide and put them in his jacket so that the next time he was attacked, the bully would steal the poison.

But Bubbles' roommate, Sherrod, used the vials instead and died. Bubbles was overcome with grief and turned himself in.

While the police were out of the interrogation room, he tried to hang himself. They ended up not charging him and instead sent him to a hospital for treatment.
8. In season four, Omar was arrested after being set up on the orders of Marlo Stanfield. What crime was Omar alleged to have committed?

Answer: Murdering a delivery woman at a convenience store

Not only had Omar stolen Marlo's stash from the convenience store, he had robbed Marlo during a poker game, and Marlo wanted revenge. He set Omar up by having Chris kill the delivery woman during a staged attempted robbery and ordering Andre, the store manager to name Omar as the hold-up man. Marlo planned to have Omar killed in prison, but Butchie had sent some of his "muscle" to protect Omar until he was released.
9. Wee-bey's son, Namond Brice, was forced to sell drugs by his mother after Brianna Barksdale cut them off financially. Despite his street-tough attitude, Namond had difficulty dealing with the violent side of the business. What did Wee-bey do for Namond at the end of season four?

Answer: Allowed Bunny Colvin to become his guardian

Former police major Bunny Colvin was working with a program that focused on socializing the most disruptive students at the school. Namond was one of the students in the program, and despite his rebellious attitude, Colvin came to care about him. When Namond was picked up for selling drugs while his mother was out of town, Carver contacted Colvin at Namond's request, and Colvin took him home for the evening rather than send him to a juvenile facility.

After Namond broke down after being attacked by Michael, Colvin contacted Wee-bey and talked him into letting Namond live with Colvin and his wife.
10. At the end of season four, Omar had his revenge on both Marlo and Proposition Joe when he stole a shipment of drugs that was being delivered to the Co-op by the Greek dealers. What did Omar do with his share of the shipment?

Answer: Sold it back to Joe

Proposition Joe had used Omar to get Marlo to join the Co-op by having Omar rob the poker game, thus convincing Marlo to join the Co-op for protection. Omar stole the drug shipment to get back at Joe and at Marlo. Butchie had jokingly given the idea to Omar of selling the shipment back to Joe, and Omar decided to go through with it.

The Co-op had to pay the Greeks for the stolen shipment, and Joe now paid an additional twenty cents on the dollar to get the shipment back.
