Scully looked at him sharply, saying "Can I have a word with you?" and pulled him out to the hall to take him to task.

As she aired her complaints, he smelled her to see if she was the one wearing the perfume, and determined that it must have been Det. White.

While one of them was angry about the rejection, the other didn't seem to be deterred, and ditched her friend to go after the guy. As they approached the intersection they'd fought over at the beginning of the episode, Mulder tried to give Scully directions, but she just sped right through the stop sign. Mulder admonished her, saying she'd just ran a stop sign, to which she replied, "Shut up, Mulder." His response? "Fine. Whatever."
