1. How do you advance to the next age?

Answer: By selecting a politician

In "Age of Empires 2" you can go to the next age only if you have the buildings needed to advance in age, food and gold. Each politician gives you different rewards such as crates and soldiers.
2. What do you select from to get shipments from the home city?

Answer: Cards

The higher you advance in your home city level the more cards you can put in your deck. To advance in home city level you must gain a specific amount of experience points.
3. In what are the cards arranged in?

Answer: Decks

You can also create multiple decks to suit your different needs. There are cards for economic, defensive and offensive roles available to put in decks.
4. Are there trading posts in the game?

Answer: Yes

You can build trading posts along the trading path and in native villages. The trading posts in native villages give unique units and upgrades while trading posts along the path can give you either food, wood, coin or experience points.
5. What is the most powerful defensive structure?

Answer: Fort

In "Age of Empires 2", the most powerful defensive structure was the castle. In "Age of Empires 3" the fort is armed with cannons and produces units.
6. What is the Falconet?

Answer: Light artillery unit

It can be upgraded to more powerful artillery units such as the Bombard canon. It is useful as the range and attack and hit points increase.
7. If there is no gold mine, from where can you get coin?

Answer: Plantation

You can get coin from the home city, whales, banks and also trading posts. You can trade other resources for coin in the market.
8. From which building can you produce a blockade?

Answer: Capitol

This building contains several powerful upgrades unique to your civilization. It can only be built in the fourth age.
9. What do the British have instead of houses?

Answer: Manor houses

Each manor house gives you a extra settler. It is useful in the beginning because you can assign them to other tasks such as gathering, etc.
10. Can your explorer gather treasures?

Answer: Yes

Many treasures found around the map are guarded by treasure guardians. Treasures give you units, coin, food, lumber and experience points.
