Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Pikachu

Answer: Catch that Pokemon!

Pikachu is, by and large, likely the most famous "Pokemon" to emerge from the franchise started by Nintendo in the late 1990s due in part to the popular television anime based on the game series. Pikachu is an electric-type Pokemon that can evolve into the larger, less-agile Raichu with the help of a Thunder Stone.

In "Pokemon Yellow", Pikachu was the sole starter Pokemon which, considering the first gym leader was Brock, a rock-type trainer, was a bit of a tough one.
2. Delfino Island

Answer: Clean up that mess!

Delfino Island, amongst other locations, is one of the main vacation spots found in the Gamecube game "Super Mario Sunshine", and it's the hub for all other destinations visited by Super Mario in that particular adventure. The goal in this game is to beat Bowser, but there's also a bit of an issue in that Mario has to pay a debt to society that he never really needed to incur if not for a shadowy doppelgänger: he has to clean up the paint-covered mess that's been messing up Delfino Plaza using a contraption known as the FLUDD.
3. Drones, Probes, and SCVs

Answer: Acquire more Vespene Gas!

Vespene Gas is a supremely important resource to collect in the "StarCraft" series by Blizzard and, in the first game, you would be relying on Drones (for Zerg), Probes (for Protoss), and SCVs (for Terran) to be mining the gas from their respective extraction structures. Most of the time, Vespene Gas is used in the creation of more advanced buildings and units, so progression in the game relies on your being able to mine both it and your regular minerals effectively.
4. Weighted Companion Cube

Answer: Commit fratricide!

Fratricide happens to be the achievement unlocked on all console and PC versions of "Portal" when you kill off your Weighted Companion Cube on one of the later test chambers in the Aperture Science Research Facility. Although cubes can be found throughout the game, the Companion Cube is signified by a heart on each of its six faces. You do, in order to advance, need to toss it into a furnace and 'commit fratricide', at which point GLaDOS will make note that you're the fastest test subject to do so. Murder an innocent, that is.
5. Banjo and Kazooie

Answer: Save Tooty!

In the popular Nintendo 64 platformer "Banjo-Kazooie", the bird/bear combo starring in the game needed to set off into Gruntilda's Lair at the top of Spiral Mountain and fight their way to the end to fight their witch antagonist and save Banjo's sister, Tooty. Tooty never really reappeared in the second game in the series-- "Banjo-Tooie"-- and it was probably for the best since both characters had their hands full in significantly more complex worlds en route to a now-dead Gruntilda.
6. Regeneradores

Answer: Use the infrared scope!

Regeneradores are some of the more frightening foes in "Resident Evil 4" (GCN, PS2, Wii), mainly because when you shoot off pieces of their body they will *cough* regenerate due to the highly-regenerative properties of Las Plagas. Regeneradores appear late in the game and can only be killed with specifically-placed shots (or total destruction) which an only be seen through heat signatures given off under infrared vision. Even deadlier versions of these enemies known as Iron Maidens appear even further into the campaign.
7. Band score multipliers

Answer: Deploy Overdrive!

This game would likely be one in the "Rock Band" series wherein you become a member of the band playing on guitar, bass, drums, or microphone (or keyboard/keytar in "Rock Band 3"). In the game, the band works together to accumulate points and hit their marks during famous songs. If they build up consecutive combos they gain the opportunity to earn 'Overdrive', which can be deployed at any time (or at frequent designated times for drums and mic).

The more band members who do this, the higher the score is multiplied to a maximum of 8x.

The overdrive continues until it runs out, even if a player misses a few notes and loses their personal multiplier.
8. Final Fantasy VII

Answer: Use Phoenix Down!

Phoenix Down is a typical item found in the "Final Fantasy" series and it's one of fair importance because of its ability to revive a character, bringing them back from the dead in and out of battle. In "Final Fantasy VII" it's able to bring a party member back to a quarter of their maximum health and put them back in fighting order.

Unfortunately, it would not work when the characters needed it the most, as it would seem. Phoenix Down reappears in other Square Enix RPGs (such as "Star Ocean").
9. Bounty Hunter, Riki, Clinkz, or another invisible hero

Answer: Gank mid!

All of these hero characters appear in the MOBA "Dota 2" and all of them are stealthy heroes capable of turning invisible either at will or as a specific skill. They're particularly effective in early game scenarios as they can gank different lanes and catch players off-guard, but prepared teams will often counter these foes by purchasing wards or other items designed to help detect invisibility.

Some heroes (such as Slardar and Zeus) are particularly effective against these characters. To 'gank mid' implies that they're going to sneak in and attack the enemy in the middle lane of the map.
10. Prelude of Light

Answer: Play the Ocarina!

The 'Prelude of Light' is a song featured in "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" (N64) allowing either adult or child Link to travel to the Temple of Time at any time, granting much easier access to the Pedestal of Time and allowing for speedier time travel.

While in the Temple of Time Link can either remove or return the Master Sword to go back and forth seven years in time. He'll only learn the song after completing his first temple as an adult, otherwise Sheik will stop him. The song doesn't return in later games.
