Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. You find yourself in a City with three exits, plus a Safari Zone to the north. Where are you?

Answer: Fuchsia City

West of Fuchsia City is cycling road which will take you up to Celadon City. To the East there's a long series of zigzagging routes that will take you to Lavender Town or Vermillion City. To the south is a sea route to Seafoam Islands. Fuchsia City is the home of Koga, the gym leader holding the Soul Badge.

The Safari Zone is home to many Pokémon you can't find in the field, so you may want to stop in there. You can also find the Gold Teeth, which can later be traded for HM04 (Strength), and HM03 (Surf).
2. This is one of the largest cities in the game. It has two gyms and the main Silph Co. building. Where are you?

Answer: Saffron City

You can only get a badge from one of the gyms (You'll win a Pokémon in the other). The gym leader, Sabrina, uses Psychic Pokémon, making this a really ugly battle for you. Also in Saffron, there's the Silph Co. building. This building is taken over by Team Rocket, and it'll be up to you to clear them out. Silph Co. is the manufacturer of many Pokémon products, including the Master Ball.
3. This is the place to come if you're a gambler or shopper. There's the Game Corner and the Department Store both in one city. Where are you?

Answer: Celadon City

Celadon City has a gym, which isn't very exciting compared to the other buildings in the city. There's Celadon Mansion where you can pick up a free Eevee, the only one in the game, and there's the Department Store where you can buy almost anything you may want. Finally, the Game Corner.

It turns out that this establishment is run by Team Rocket, and that they have a secret hideout underneath it. This is where you get to go down and defeat all the Rockets down there until you meet Giovanni. Once Giovanni's down, he'll give you the Silph Scope, a device needed to see ghosts in Lavender Tower.
4. This is maybe the smallest town. It has three buildings: Your house, your rival's house, and Prof. Oak's lab. Where are you?

Answer: Pallet Town

This is where you start your adventure off (in your house). You get your first Pokémon, and have your first rival battle. You can grab a World Map from your rival's sister in his house, and later, you'll need to talk to Prof. Oak about your Pokédex.
5. A smaller town (it's still called a City, though) in the north-western part of Kanto. It's the home of the first gym and a museum. Where are you?

Answer: Pewter City

Brock is your first gym leader. He uses Rock Pokémon, making this hard for those who started off with Charmander. As for the museum, you can pay 50 Pokédollars to view the exhibits, but the real treasure in there can only be accessed through the back entrance, which you'll need HM01 (Cut) for.
6. Completely surrounded by water, this town has a gym and a famous Pokémon Lab as well as the mysterious abandoned mansion. Where are you?

Answer: Cinnabar Island

Cinnabar Island has your standard Pokémon Center and Pokémart, and it even has a gym, but there are two more interesting things on the small volcanic island. First off is the Pokémon Lab where you can bring any fossils you may have found on your journey and have them recreated as Pokémon to fight for you. Also, there's the abandoned mansion, overrun with wild Pokémon and looters.

It is a test of worth. If a trainer can find the key to the locked gym in the mansion, they will have prove themselves worthy of the gym leader's attention.

The gym here also has an interesting system. It has a series of doors. To unlock each door you either have to answer the question given to you by the machine, correctly. If you're wrong, you fight the trainer and you'll have to beat him/her to advance.
7. You find yourself in a beautiful seaside vacation hot-spot. You can grab the Thunder Badge here, as well as take a tour on the famous S.S. Anne. Where are you?

Answer: Vermillion City

There is so much to do in Vermillion City. There's a Pokémon Fan club (where you can grab that Bike Voucher) and you can trade Spearow for the only Farfetch'd in the game. You can also run around the S.S. Anne where you can get experience and HM01 (Cut). Finally, there's the gym, where you can battle Lt. Surge's battalion of Electric Pokémon for the Thunder Badge.
8. This is an early town. It has the Pokémon school, but it also has a gym. Where are you?

Answer: Viridian City

Viridian City has the Pokémon School, and it's where you'll pick up Prof. Oak's package for him (at the Pokémart). It is also home to the final gym where you can get the Earth Badge and finally put Team Rocket out for good (or at least until "Gold/Silver") as the gym leader is also the Team Rocket Boss.
9. A small, gloomy town. The only point of interest being a large tower in which past Pokémon are remembered. Where are you?

Answer: Lavender Town

Until you get the Silph Scope, you'll only be able to see ghosts in the tower, which you can't battle. You'll have to go to the top of the tower eventually, though, because after you defeat them at the Celadon Game Corner Hideout, they'll try to take over the tower.
10. This place is home to the second gym and the Bike Shop. Where are you?

Answer: Cerulean City

Cerulean City is where you can battle Misty and her armada of two water Pokémon for the Cascade Badge. Also, the Bike Shop. To actually pay for the bike would be insane, but you can get a Bike Voucher from the president of the Pokémon Fan club in Vermillion City.
