Question 1 of 10
1. This is General Victus on Menae. The Reapers have taken the mining site and are pushing us back on all fronts. I'm getting everyone to the transport lot to retreat. I just hope our snipers on the upper ridge can buy us enough time.

Which multiplayer map is this report from?
Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. Cerberus is attacking the Special Tasks Group labs on Sur'Kesh. I don't know how they managed to find a secret base on our homeworld, but they did. Padock Wiks said he would move to the waterfall overlook for a better view while I guard the labs.

Which multiplayer map is this report from?
Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. Urdnot Wreave and his krant are assaulting an old anti-orbital gun installation. Cerberus took control of it a week ago, even though we don't have anything worth shooting down. They'll be fortified in the control room and an old bunker. Wreave will have to worry about snipers in the large open areas, or lose a lot of krogan. He'll probably lose a lot of krogan.

Which multiplayer map is this report from?
Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. The human colonists of Arvuna have grown a new appreciation for their former adversaries, the batarian hegemony. Batarian special forces, led by Shar'lak Gurek, expelled a geth occupation force from the local dam. Geth fighters had landed at the dam earlier in the week, presumably to cut the power to the nearly one million colonists living on the planet.

Which multiplayer map is this report from?
Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. Lieutenant Girard, Alliance Navy. Cerberus had set up a fighter base on Novaria, well within Alliance space. We were sent to take control or destroy it. Things were going great until the snowstorm hit. Visibility was reduced to almost nothing. Some soldiers had thermal scopes, but for the rest of us, Cerberus would show up like phantoms out of the fog.

Which multiplayer map is this report from?
Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. Benning is a terrible planet. It's a garden world colony that already feels crowded and overbuilt. We even have to worry about acid rain that slowly damages our kinetic barriers. I can't imagine why anyone would bother attacking this place.

- Dominic Osoba, Alliance Navy

Which multiplayer map is this log from?
Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. This is Captain Lee Riley, Alliance Navy. We were sent to Cyone to investigate a fuel depot that had stopped shipments. We were ambushed by a Reaper force that would have wiped us out if we hadn't locked them in the reactor core and vented it.

Which multiplayer map is this report from?
Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. Lieutenant Kurin was tasked with defending the temple of Athame. She and her commandos were last seen on the balcony, but Reaper forces pushed through. They pulled back to defend the great hall, out of sight. I hope they're okay. We don't have reinforcements to send to her.

Which multiplayer map is this report from?
Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. This is Grace Sato at the Ontarom communications facility. Cerberus found us and killed everyone. I'm the only one left, and I'm trying to stay out of sight. I'm only moving around when the sandstorms kick up to avoid being seen. Please send help!

Which multiplayer map is this message from?
Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. Personal Log: C. Talavi

I was pretty bummed out when I found out I had to defend a secret Cerberus lab on Sanctum. More like babysitting a bunch of eggheads in the ice. I wish I could go back to those boring days. The Collectors showed up (I thought Commander Shepard had killed them all), rounding up our scientists and killing anyone who resisted. I've been hiding in this broom closet for a day, now, waiting for their Seeker Swarm to move on.

Which multiplayer map is this log from?
Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This is General Victus on Menae. The Reapers have taken the mining site and are pushing us back on all fronts. I'm getting everyone to the transport lot to retreat. I just hope our snipers on the upper ridge can buy us enough time. Which multiplayer map is this report from?

Answer: Firebase Condor

Firebase Condor was added with the "Resurgence Pack," released on April 10, 2012, a month after "Mass Effect 3." Condor used the same dark pallet and skybox as the Priority Palaven mission in the single player game. Condor was an open map, with a high ridge and long sight lines, making it excellent for snipers. Menae was a moon of Palaven, the turian homeworld.

Answer: Firebase Jade

Firebase Jade was added with the "Rebellion Pack," released on May 29, 2012, almost three months after "Mass Effect 3." It used the same assets and looked very similar to the mission Priority: Sur'Kesh from the single player game. It was a secret base hidden in a tropical forest, using a green and beige colour scheme.

This map had long sight lines good for sniping, and a bridge and narrow path ways to sneak around. Sur'Kesh was the salarian homeworld.

Answer: Firebase Giant

Firebase Giant was one of the six original maps, set on the krogan homeworld, Tuchanka. It was particularly popular among players trying to complete multiplayer missions alone to complete the "Lone Wolf" challenge introduced in the "Retaliation" DLC pack.

In the single player game, the mission N7: Cerberus Attack used this map. The hazard version of this map (introduced in "Retaliation") moved from day to night, making it harder to see enemies. Occasionally the anti-orbital guns would fire, causing disorienting flashes of light.

Answer: Firebase Hydra

Firebase Hydra was added with the "Resurgence Pack." It was a large open field at the base of a hydroelectric dam on Arvuna, a location not seen in the single player game. The description of the map in the "Resurgence Pack" announcement blog post stated that the dam provided power for the communications facility for Firebase Dagger on Ontarom, and read as if Hydra was also meant to be on Ontarom, but the final location in-game was Arvuna. Firebase Hydra and Firebase Ontarom were the only two maps set in the Attican Traverse.

The batarian Shar'lak was a character mentioned in an Alliance News Network blog post, an in-universe news report during the Reaper War taking place in "Mass Effect 3."

Answer: Firebase White

Firebase White was one of the six original maps, taking place on Noveria, a snowy world first seen in "Mass Effect," known for minimal corporate regulation or oversight. In "Mass Effect 3," the single player mission N7: Cerberus Fighter Base used this map.

Firebase White, like the other six original maps, received a hazard variant with the "Retaliation Pack." On this map, a blizzard would periodically flare up, causing a whiteout in the exterior areas. Thermal scopes could still see through the storm. Firebase White was altered by the "Retaliation Pack" to add two new corridors.

Lieutenant Girard, a character from "Mass Effect," was mentioned in an Alliance News Network post as being injured while fighting Cerberus on Noveria.
6. Benning is a terrible planet. It's a garden world colony that already feels crowded and overbuilt. We even have to worry about acid rain that slowly damages our kinetic barriers. I can't imagine why anyone would bother attacking this place. - Dominic Osoba, Alliance Navy Which multiplayer map is this log from?

Answer: Firebase Ghost

Firebase Ghost was one of the six original maps, set on the human colony world of Benning. The single player mission N7: Cerberus Abductions took place on the map. The mission was given by Ambassador Osoba, who was concerned for his son who was an Alliance marine stationed on Benning.

The hazard version of Firebase Ghost, added with the "Retaliation Pack," was periodic acid rain that would slowly damage shields and barriers. When the rain started, players could either fight with damaged shields, or take shelter in/under buildings.

Answer: Firebase Reactor

Firebase Reactor was one of the six original maps, set on Cyone, a world not seen before. It was the location of the N7: Fuel Reactors single player mission. Shepard was sent in to help Captain Lee Riley, an N7 graduate, to take back control of the facility. It was the only N7 mission in "Mass Effect 3" in which Shepard fought Reaper enemies (the other five were Cerberus).

The hazard version of Firebase Reactor had the central reactor build up energy. With the push of a button, the reactor core could be sealed and vented, damaging any players or enemies caught inside.

Answer: Firebase Goddess

Firebase Goddess was added with the "Rebellion Pack," and used the same assets that were seen in the Priority: Thessia mission late in the "Mass Effect 3" story. Thessia was the homeworld of the asari. Firebase Goddess had a few long sight lines, but was generally smaller than most maps.
9. This is Grace Sato at the Ontarom communications facility. Cerberus found us and killed everyone. I'm the only one left, and I'm trying to stay out of sight. I'm only moving around when the sandstorms kick up to avoid being seen. Please send help! Which multiplayer map is this message from?

Answer: Firebase Dagger

Firebase Dagger was one of the six original maps, set on Ontarom, an optional world from "Mass Effect" that was famous for having a shifty looking space cow that would steal Shepard's credits.

In "Mass Effect 3," the mission N7: Communications Hub took place on this map. In that mission, Shepard saved a technician named Grace Sato, who was sneaking around and avoiding Cerberus troops. The hazard version of Firebase Dagger, introduced in the "Retaliation" DLC, had a sandstorm that periodically flared up to reduce visibility (similar to the blizzard on the Firebase White hazard map).
10. Personal Log: C. Talavi I was pretty bummed out when I found out I had to defend a secret Cerberus lab on Sanctum.

Answer: Firebase Glacier

Firebase Glacier was one of the six original maps, set on Sanctum. The mission N7: Cerberus Lab took place on this map. During that mission, Shepard could read two harrowing personal log entries from C. Talavi, a Cerberus recruit. In the first, he was getting ready for his integration into the squad. The second was after he had had Reaper-derived technology implanted, removing his personality and making him fiercely loyal to Cerberus. On the Citadel, Shepard could overhear Talavi's sister asking to be put in a position to fight Reapers instead of Cerberus, because she doesn't want to risk fighting her brother.

Firebase Glacier was the smallest map in the multiplayer game, making it great for fast games and close-range combat. It was the only map (even with all DLC packs) set in the Terminus Systems. In the "Retaliation" DLC, the hazard version was added, which had a wandering Collector Seeker Swarm. Players caught inside the swarm would take damage, and shooting the swarm would make it angry, doubling its radius. A small room was also removed from the map in the "Retaliation" DLC.
