"Metroid Prime" - The Chozo Artifacts Quiz

Answer: Twelve

These artifacts are found in five of the different regions throughout Tallon IV. In order to obtain them, you'll need to explode things, fight enemies, use weapons, and search the drifts, labs, ruins, caverns, mines, and overworld of the planet. Each artifact's name reflects something about the history, culture, and past of the Chozo.

Answer: Impact Crater

The Impact Crater is the final location in the game. Not only can you find the final enemies of the game in this location, but you can also find Metroid Prime in this area. In the final rooms of the crater, you'll fight the boss through various subchambers until you reach the final location.

The Impact Crater is filled with radioactive Red Phazon. Not even the newly acquired Phazon Suit will protect you from this.

Answer: Tallon Overworld

To reach the Artifact Temple, head to the door behind the waterfall of the Landing Site in Tallon Overworld. This is in the same location as Samus' gunship. Keep following the paths and you'll reach the Temple in no time. The Artifact Temple is home to the first Chozo Artifact of the game, the Artifact of Truth. It also houses Samus' means of transport to the Impact Crater.

Answer: Meta Ridley

Samus first encountered Meta Ridley on the Space Pirate Frigate in this game. Although you don't see much of him during your next encounter in Phendrana Drifts, you don't see him again until the battle in the Artifact Temple. To trigger this battle, you need to have found all twelve of the Artifacts. Meta Ridley will destroy the pillars in the Artifact Temple when you try to activate the transport, but it won't really matter. If you win the battle, some friendly Chozo Ghosts will take you to the Impact Crater for the final boss.

Answer: Phazon Mines

The Artifact of Newborn is likely to be one of the later Artifacts found in the game. To obtain it, you'll need the Phazon Suit. Make your way to the Phazon Mining Tunnel and roll right into the Phazon. Break all of the obstacles in your way, and you'll be able to reach the Artifact of Newborn.

This is the second of two Artifacts found in the Phazon Mines. The second is the Artifact of Warrior.

Answer: Three

The Artifact of Wild is found in the Sunchamber where Flaaghra used to reside, but to get it, you'll need to fight your first Chozo Ghosts. The Artifact of Lifegiver is in the Tower Chamber within the Tower of Light. This area can be accessed by taking a Spider Ball track through the Ruined Shrine.

The Tower of Light also contains the Wave Buster, but you'll need to go underwater with the Gravity Suit to get the Artifact. The third Chozo Ruins Artifact is the Artifact of World. To get it, go to the Hall of Elders, and enter the Elder Chamber by shooting the Red panel with the Plasma Beam.

Answer: Phazon Elite

This boss is no different than the Elite Pirates found earlier in the Phazon Mines labs. When you reach the Elite Research, Power Bomb this guy's tank and start the boss battle. Avoid his Wave Quake attack and Plasma Shots and just keep shooting him until he's down. Watch out though, the Phazon Elite has a shield that will absorb any attacks if he outstretches his arm.

After the battle, the Artifact of Warrior will reveal itself, and you can claim your prize.

Answer: Super Missiles

The Artifact of Nature is one of two Chozo Artifacts found in Magmoor Caverns. This particular one is found in the Lava Pool. To obtain it, simply shoot a Super Missile at the large pillar in the middle of one of the segments of the room. Double jump on over to it, and it's yours. The other Artifact in Magmoor Caverns is the Artifact of Strength, and it's found in the Warrior Shrine.

Answer: Chozo Ice Temple

To get the Artifact of Sun, you need to melt the ice coming down onto the Chozo Statue with the Plasma Beam, and a path will open underneath it. Simply enter this little room and you'll get the artifact. This is one of three Artifacts found in the Phendrana Drifts. The others are the Artifact of Elder and the Artifact of Spirit.

Answer: Spirit

The Artifact of Spirit is one of the three Chozo Artifacts found in Phendrana Drifts. To obtain it, you'll need to reach a high point of the area and Power Bomb the wall to reveal a door. Shoot this with your Plasma Beam and you're in the room with the Artifact.

This is one of the seven Artifacts that you can get a hint about at the Artifact Temple by scanning the different pillars. These don't add up in your Log Book total, but they'll help you find the Artifacts along the way. :)
