Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What class of ship do you fly in your first mission?

Answer: YT 1300 Stock Light Freighter

On your first mission you get to fly the Sabra, a YT 1300, the same kind of ship as the Millennium Falcon. The Sabra is not nearly as heavily modified as the Falcon, but it can still do its job. On your first mission, you transport a cargo container to a space station, then fend off some raiders, and finally return home.

Not too exciting, but that's just the first of fifty missions. It gets a lot more hectic after that.
2. Which is not a system you can redirect power to or from?

Answer: Thrusters

The three systems most crafts get are Shields, Lasers, and Engines. Every time you add to Lasers or Shields, it takes power away from Engines. The more laser power you have, the faster your lasers with recharge. If it is below fifty percent, then your laser energy will drop. Same idea goes for the shields.

The more engine power, the faster your craft goes. Some crafts also get beam weapons, which function in the same way.
3. In the story, what did Dunari own?

Answer: A casino

Dunari comes in and out of the story line. In the beginning, it's just a place you could buy drinks at, but Dunari is also a good friend of your father's, is there when you need help, and turns to you when he needs your aid. Ultimately, you help him with the Alliance backing you up, when the Empire turns on Dunari.
4. What is the name of your droid pilot when flying family missions?

Answer: Emkay

Emkay is your personal droid. He gives you briefings for family missions and will inform you when you have received new mail, or have acquired another souvenir. He also accompanies you on some missions to add to the atmosphere. He has a gung ho personality, always wanting to either destroy everything if it's small enough, or run away faster if there's too many bad guys.
5. Is the "X-Wing Alliance" story linear?

Answer: Yes

You must go through each mission before the one after; you cannot select an alternate mission for the one you must complete. The only way to get out of doing a mission is by using the skip option. You get one skip for each chapter, although it's probably best if you got all the experience you could.
6. Which of the following does most damage?

Answer: Space Bombs

Space Bombs are nasty weapons of war. Not something you'd waste of fighters or freighters, but on larger capital ships and cruisers. They can sap away vast amounts of shields and hull structure if they hit. They're difficult to hit, let alone spot amongst the backdrop of space, making it insanely difficult for capital ship to target one, even if they know it's coming for them. Space Bombs, however, are extremely slow, and, unless you're not moving, you'll probably pass over them as soon as they're fired. Remember, the velocity of your warheads varies with your speed: the faster you're moving, the faster your warheads will move. You can't carry many Space Bombs with you either, so make sure you are really close to a capital ship before firing them or else you'll be waiting a long time.
7. "X-Wing Alliance" has a few extra features to make the game feel a little more real. Which of these CAN NOT be found in the game?

Answer: Card Games

In the family transport, where you have your bunk and other belongings, you'll see a collection of stuff start to form around it. These are all souvenirs from family missions (minus the medals in the case). You can click on them to read their caption. Also, there are emails.

Some from your fellow pilots or High Command, and most from your siblings. They have little hints concerning future missions, or are just small things, such as thanks for candies you supposedly gave someone else.
8. Emon, your brother, has his own ship. What is it called?

Answer: Andrasda

The Andrasda is a Firespray class ship (like Boba Fett's). Emon has probably the most aggressive ship of all the Azzameens. He gets into the most trouble, and therefore gets the most armament. Also, you can see certain customizations on it, such as a painting of a Twi'Lek dancer of the side (seen in a cutscene).
9. What surprising thing does your uncle do near the end of the story?

Answer: He betrays you

Uncle Antan, for unknown reasons, changes faith near the end of the game. He turns you over to the Empire, and then bolts. You have to fight your way through imperial fighters, along with the help of Dunari, to get away. You never see or hear of Uncle Antan after that, but he's probably alive, as he merely took off in his ship.
10. What is your last battle of the game?

Answer: Attack on the second Death Star

There are four parts to the Battle of Endor. The first includes the jump in, and surviving the initial ambush. The second and third both include destroying key targets, and the last part is the flight in and out of the second Death Star. There are cut scenes between all the parts of the battle.

The attack on the first Death Star was the final mission in the first game of the series, "X-Wing".
