Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which is not a form of Spectrobe in "Spectrobes: Origins"?

Answer: Youth

Child Spectrobes are used to search for items, open portals, and explore special areas. Adult and Evolved forms fight. Spectrobes only change form by using Evolve Minerals, not fighting or leveling up.
2. There are five types of Spectrobes in "Spectrobes: Origins". Which type is advantageous against Earth?

Answer: Plant

Water beats Fire, which beats Plant, which beats Earth, which beats Sky, which beats Water (Sky attacks are typically electrical). It's a bit simpler than "Pokémon" with its eighteen types. Each Spectrobe or Krawl can be only one type, and some Krawl have no type.

In earlier instalments of the series, there are only three Spectrobe properties: Corona (a fire-like property), Aurora (plant and sky), and Flash (water and ice).
3. In "Spectrobes: Origins", your character can wield swords, lances, axes, blasters, and what?

Answer: Gloves

You can equip one weapon at a time and pause during a battle to switch. You can also use a shield at the same time. Weapons that are acquired from stone markers have a Spectrobe type, making certain weapons more effective against particular enemies than others.
4. Who sends Rallen and Jeena on their journey to obtain shards?

Answer: Radese

Every time you get a shard, you have to return it to him, and he gives you coordinates to the next planet. You have to obtain five shards, each on a different planet.
5. Kogoeria in "Spectrobes: Origins" is a planet with what kind of environment?

Answer: Snow

You journey through ice caverns, glaciers, snow passes, and snowfields under aurora-filled skies. You face mainly water Krawl here. Personally, this was my favorite planet for its ice vistas, caverns, and night skies.
6. On which planet do you explore seven ancient ruins and create a device to trap a Krawl?

Answer: Menahat

Menahat used to be a thriving, fertile planet before the Great Krawl War destroyed the environment and left the place a vast desert. With the help of your Child Spectrobes and an enthusiastic explorer named Neal, you explore the Great Desert to locate the entrances to seven ruins, where you solve puzzles and fight Krawl to raise the ruins above the sand.

The seven stone structures you raise create a device to trap the Krawl for you to fight.
7. Which Spectrobe can you ride and use to cross light bridges in "Spectrobes: Origins"?

Answer: Pegatinum

Its name comes from the mythical flying horse Pegasus. It is added to your search team, though it does not search and cannot fight, nor does it have an elemental type. You can use it in many large areas and nearly anywhere you can search for items. Riding it, you can blaze through large areas much faster than by walking. You awaken it on Menahat in the seventh ruin. Lapras is a water/ice Pokémon and not part of the "Spectrobes" franchise.
8. On Slayso, what area do you explore?

Answer: A tower

On the way up the tower, you complete puzzles, fight Krawl, and find new Spectrobe fossils. On the first floor, you start to fight a Krawl, but it flees, which is uncharacteristic of Krawl, and you only defeat it at the top of the tower, where it has acquired a satellite dish.
9. In "Spectrobes: Origins", does Commander Grant turn out to be Krux?

Answer: No

Whenever Rallen and Jeena talk to him, his actions and words seem suspicious. Jeena never quite trusts him and believes he may be the one who creates Krawl for his own ends. In the end, Krux is just Krux, and Grant apologizes for seeming to be untrustworthy.
10. When the five shards are united in "Spectrobes: Origins", what happens?

Answer: The Beast King is summoned

You need a Spectrobe of each property in your party to open the way to the Pool of Summoning, where you place the shards to call for the Beast King Kaio, the Ultimate Form. Kaio defends Wyterra when the Krawlosphere comes to the galaxy to destroy planets, but you have to defeat Krux.

When you beat Krux, you get a silver Komainu. If you have obtained every Spectrobe in its Child, Adult, and Evolved forms, you also get a gold Komainu. If you save the game after defeating Krux, you get a new mission when you reload the file.
