The twenty day event kicks off on the 14th, eleven days before Christmas. At 1 PM, the game's servers briefly shutdown for a five minute maintenance. When they come back up, Twilight Tor's gates will be open, and you may commence the festivities!

Answer: Exchange Gifts of Simral with other players

The extremely simple act of giving each other gifts will improve the quality the player gets from gifts that they themselves open. Every five gifts you give, up to thirty total, will gradually increase the potential of receiving something incredible out of the gifts other players give you.

At low gift-giving levels, you can still earn neat treats such as Mass Scrolls of Life and Common Companions. When you reach thirty, your best possible rewards could be the highly sought out three-ringed Lillend Epic Companion, the Apparatus of Kwali Mount, or if you get lucky enough, you could receive the ultimate holiday gift: a Legendary Black Ice Warhorse. Getting to thirty gifts given is easy, as the game gives quests on a daily basis which give you the opportunity to earn two easy gifts, while opening other players' gifts can also occasionally give you gifts that you can give right back.

Answer: Royal Winter Sled, Frost Mimic, Frozen Throne, Winter Sled

Though this holiday themed arsenal looks truly incredible, the fact of the matter is that only the Royal Winter Sled is truly useful. The Frost Mimic is best suited for beginner players, as its Active bonus is a small amount of Defense, and it isn't too useful in combat.

The Frozen Throne is good for guilds that want to decorate their guild hall, building experience in the process, but guilds which are already GH20s will find little use for it, especially at its exorbitant price. The Winter Sled conveys a useful benefit while in Twilight Tor, as it grants the player 150% mount movement speed when in the village, but outside of the village it is little more than an aesthetic, being a mere Common mount.

The Royal Winter Sled, however, is truly a boost to Guardian Fighters and Oathbound Paladins which lacks the funds, or the desire, to buy a Runeclad Manticore.

The Royal Winter Sled grants the user 500 Power and Defense, while also giving party members within fifty feet a boost of 250 Power and Defense. For those with a wealth of Astral Diamonds, however, the Royal Winter Sled is an inferior version all around of the Runeclad Manticore, so you needn't waste your time with this Sled if you can afford such a Manticore.

Answer: Master of Lights

The Master of Lights will be the basis of your work within this Profession. Unfortunately, you cannot have anymore than one of these, so be careful on which task you want to assign him to. He can be tremendously useful, crafting upgrades to your Fishing poles and Refining plenty of Motes of light to use as currency.

However, if you misuse him, he'll be little more than a waste of a Task slot.

Answer: Vario Cepheid

Vario Cepheid will welcome you to the village with open arms. He also administers important quests to you on a daily basis, easy to complete, that yield useful event currency. He also gives you the Telescope quest, one which enables you to claim one of your two free daily Simril Gifts.

Answer: Beacon of Simril

The Beacon of Simril, like other season exclusive Artifacts, is not useful in combat, or as one of your four Artifacts, and because they come Bound to Character, they cannot be sold as Collector's items. However, they are extremely easy to upgrade to Legendary, so any character looking to boost their item level may wish to upgrade their Beacon of Simril to Legendary.

However, the stats it conveys are small and typically not useful, so the player should seek a replacement whenever possible.

Answer: Durgrace

The Durgrace represents the second most valuable fish you can catch at this event, behind the Candlefish. Three of them are needed in order to upgrade the Master of Lights to level two, and ten of them are needed if you want to exchange them for Simril Lights, used to purchase aesthetic items at the Simril store.

Answer: Illuminated Marimo

Illuminated Marimos are only useful for this one thing. Fortunately, this is actually a pretty useful purpose to have, as Bright Lumen are needed to upgrade the Beacon of Simril Artifact.

Answer: Slaloms

The Slaloms are fairly easy to hit, though some of them can be tricky. Given the rough, slippery terrain you are racing on, it is easy to miss a couple of them. However, if you want any hope at competing with other players to be the highest ranked racer, you will need to hit these Slaloms pretty consistently. Fortunately, you have an unlimited amount of opportunities to run through the race, so you should be able to gather plenty of points over the fifteen minute period.

Answer: Plee

Between the two Zythars to spawn, Plee is the bulky one with an essentially non existent offensive presence. The idea here is to merely use Plee as a pinata; he only really exists to hit, and to earn points in the event for.
