Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of these Pokémon can learn Sludge Bomb?

Answer: Breloom

If you were surprised by this, you're not the only one. I had these Pokémon, and collected the TM of Sludge Bomb (to get it, fly to Dewford after earning the Feather Badge). Then I checked who could learn Sludge Bomb. I was surprised to know this fact.
2. If you go to Lanette's house after talking to her in Fallarbor's Pokémon Center, what does she give you?

Answer: Lotad Doll

When you go into her house (from Fallarbor, head west and then south) she apologises for the disarray in the room. She then gives a Lotad Doll to you and it gets sent to your PC. You use it to decorate your Secret Base.
3. In "Pokémon Sapphire", a Pokédex entry mentions the word "walking" in the entry. Strange, no? But it gets stranger as the specific Pokémon has the Levitate ability. Who is this Pokémon?

Answer: Lunatone

"Lunatone becomes active around the time of a full moon. Instead of walking, it moves by floating in midair. The Pokémon's intimitading red eyes cause all those to see it to become transfixed with fear."
---"Pokémon Sapphire"
4. Which of these is a real attack?

Answer: Volt Tackle

Volt Tackle is a powerful move, but inflicts recoil damage (that is, the user gets damaged as well). The following technique only works in the latest Pokémon game, "Pokémon Emerald" Get two Pikachus of different gender, attach a Light Ball to one, and let them produce an egg in the Day Care Centre.

The hatched Pichu will know Volt Tackle. Finally, if you like, trade it to Ruby or Sapphire.
5. What do you need to attach to Marill to produce an Azurill in the Day-care Centre?

Answer: Sea Incense

It's important to attach a Sea Incense to Marill to produce an Azurill to add to your Pokédex. (whether you need to attach it to the male or female is still unconfirmed) The Lax Incense is used to attach to a Wobbuffet to produce Wynaut.
6. Which Pokémon can learn a move at Level 81?

Answer: Smeargle

Mew stops learning moves (on its own) at Level 50, its final move being Ancientpower, Lugia never learns a move at Level 81, but learns Ancientpower at Level 88 and Future Sight at Level 99, but Smeargle learns Sketch at Levels 11, 21, 31, 41, 51, 61, 71, 81 and 91!
7. Which Pokémon won't have Clear Body as an ability?

Answer: Staryu

Strange how Regirock isn't transparent, but it still possesses the Clear Body Ability. Metang, Tentacool and Staryu aren't exactly that clear either, but they all have Clear Body as their abilities save Staryu. Clear Body prevents the certain Pokémon's stats (Attack, Defense, etc.) from being reduced.
8. What is Tyranitar's ability?

Answer: Sand Stream

Sand Stream instantly brews up a sandstorm when the Pokémon knowing it is summoned. It is an infinite version of Sandstorm, until another weather effect is introduced. As many may know, Sandstorm hits the foe(s) each turn and they lose a bit of HP.
9. In Pokémon Contests, all moves are assigned to either Cute, Beauty, Smart, Tough or Cool. Which one of these is the move Splash classified as, and what is its effect?

Answer: Cute, works best when done last

Quite a bit of Pokemon can learn Splash, some naturally, like Magikarp and Spoink, and some can learn it through breeding, like Delibird. If you pulled off Splash successfully, at last position, the screen will show, "The largely unnoticed (NAME) worked hard."
Usually you'll get 6 red hearts.
10. In Fallarbor lives a man called the Move Tutor. He lets Pokémon learn moves for Heart Scales. What moves can he teach your Pokémon?

Answer: Any move the Pokémon has forgotten

This means for instance, you get a Lugia at Level 70. Normally Lugia's beginning move is Aeroblast. Sadly, this Lugia does not know Aeroblast. Get a Heart Scale, either from Luvdisc or seaching various places. Present it to the Move Tutor, and he'll let you choose what move to learn, one of which is Aeroblast. Hope you did good!
