Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the game "Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge", what was the name of the weapon that Dr. Finklestein gave Jack in the beginning of the game?

Answer: Soul Rubber

The "Soul Rubber" is a green, slime like weapon that can transform into various weapons (like a wipe or a mace). Interestingly the "Bone Fist" is actually the name of the weapon that Jack uses in "Kingdom Hearts 2".
2. In the game "The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past", what minor item can be used to reflect Agahnim's magical projectiles back at him?

Answer: Butterfly net

In "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" you can reflect Phantom Ganon's and Ganon's magic projectiles using an empty bottle. In "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" you can use the fishing rod to distract Ganon in the final battle. This line of minor items doing vary useful things in major boss battles is actually a trend in "The Legend of Zelda" video game series.
3. In the game "Resident Evil", which of the following characters can pick locks without using an old key and has the highest carrying capacity?

Answer: Jill Valentine

Even though she has these useful features she is not as strong or as fast as Chris Redfield. Chris, however, even though he's more resistant to enemy attacks, needs to use old keys to open certain doors and can only carry six items.
4. In the game "Famicon Grand Prix II: 3D Hot Rally", who were/was the driver(s) of the vehicle "Monster"?

Answer: Mario & Luigi

Even though the vehicle is a little slow it's vary resistant to damage. Interestingly, in "Super Smash Bros. Melee", the vehicle was a unlockable trophy in the game.
5. In the game "Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Maniax", what Capcom-owned character was an recurring enemy in the game and a unlockable party member?

Answer: Dante

In the game you encounter Dante several times as a formidable enemy character. After the player defeats him for the last time in the Fifth Kalpa of the optional Labyrinth of Amala dungeon the player has the option of hiring him as a party member. In exchange for letting Dante be in the game Kazuma Kaneko (the artist responsible for the character designs in the "Shin Megami Tensei" series) had to help Capcom design Dante's devil trigger in "Devil May Cry 3".
6. In the game "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" what character has a Bullet Bill (from the Super Mario series) on his sleeve of his jacket?

Answer: Fyer

Fyer is one of the brothers who run the Fyer and Falbi's Watertop Land of Fantastication in Lake Hylia. He sells transportation to Link with the use of a cannon that can fire Link to places such as the Gerudo Desert. He's also the one (who for a fee) fixes the Oocca cannon that Link needs to use to go to the City in the Sky. If you look at his right sleeve theres a Bullet Bill on it.
7. Which of the following games was the first Playstation game that required the use of a DualShock controller?

Answer: "Ape Escape"

In Ape Escape the right stick is used in many different ways, such as aiming and swinging weapons. The left stick is used for the camera. They also remade the game for the PSP as "Ape Escape: On the Loose". Interestingly this version used only one analog stick (due to the PSP having one analog stick).
8. Which of the following "Banjo-Kazooie" games was never released in Japan?

Answer: "Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge"

For unknown reasons, "Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge" was never released in Japan and is the first game in the "Banjo-Kazooie" video game series not released in Japan. Technically this is the second game in the story line in chronological order (between "Banjo-Kazooie" and "Banjo-Tooie"). This game is more of a side story rather than an actual sequel to "Banjo-Kazooie".
9. When purchasing on the Wii in japan how much does it cost in Wii points to purchase the virtual console Sega Genesis/Mega Drive?

Answer: 600 points

Exclusively in Japan the Virtual console Sega Genesis/Mega Drive can be purchased for 600 Wii points. Everywhere else it costs 800 Wii points. For the Virtual console NES it costs 500 Wii points. For the Virtual console N64 it costs 1000 Wii points.
10. In March 2004 what "shiny" Pokémon would you obtain if you connected a Game Boy Advanced with "Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire" to a Nintendo GameCube (playing a 2004 promotional disk) at a participating GameStop or EB Games store in the United States?

Answer: Shiny Zigzagoon

In March 2004 if you did connect a Game Boy Advanced with "Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire" to a GameCube playing a promotional disk at a participating GameStop or EB Games store in the United States you obtain a Shiny Zigzagoon. This would also fix the "Berry Glitch" in "Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire". Nintendo did this most likely to attract the attention of "Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire" owners in order to fix the glitch in the game.
