"Left 4 Dead" takes place in a world where a pandemic, known as the Green Flu, infects the population and corrupts them, essentially turning them into zombies. Four survivors, Zoey, Bill, Francis and Louis, must face the infected and fight them off in their journey to find somewhere safe and flu-free. Developed by Valve, "Left 4 Dead" has been a massive success, with many review sites citing it as an instant classic. Downloadable content has been made available to add to the campaign.

A sequel, "Left 4 Dead 2" was released a year after the original.

The bee mushroom is actually a power-up from "Super Mario Galaxy" and its sequel. The bee mushroom transforms Mario into a bee, allowing him to fly around for a short period of time, as well as allowing him to scale sticky, honey-coated walls. The penguin suit debuted in "New Super Mario Bros. Wii", and allows Mario to throw ice balls while also giving him traction on slippery ice and the ability to slide along on his belly.

Another new addition was the helicopter hat, which propels Mario up into the air, and lets him float back down.

The fire flower, a staple of the series, once again returns.

Players can engage in a battle of the vocal chords with "SingStar" for the PlayStation 2 (and later, the PlayStation 3 too). Each game contains a variety of songs (which may have a theme depending on the game), and players must sing along to the songs at the same pace, at the right pitch and as closely to the original as possible.

The video clip for the song accompanies it in the background, and if an EyeToy is plugged in, gameplay can be enhanced by displaying the players on screen.

The first game in the series, upon its release in 2005, was simply called "Guild Wars", however when the second game, "Factions", was released in April 2006, the first game gained the subtitle "Prophecies". October 2006 saw the release of the third stand-alone campaign, "Nightfall".

In 2007, ArenaNet brought the original "Guild Wars" series to a close with the expansion "Eye of the North", which required one of the other three campaigns to play, and introduced new characters and settings which would play a pivotal role in the series' sequel, "Guild Wars 2".

The "Mario Party" series is based around either players, computer-controlled characters or a combination of the two playing a board game with mini-games dotted throughout. True to its name, the games feature Mario and many other Nintendo characters. As of 2007, eight games in the main series have been released: three for the Nintendo 64, four for the GameCube, and one for the Wii.

"Alien Swarm" is a top-down shoot-'em-up which focuses on a team of four people who must fight their way through hordes of aliens to reach a particular goal. Released through Steam, the game is most effective when playing with other people, however, one can still play alone with a team of computer-controlled characters.

Answer: Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos

From humble beginnings as a custom scenario map for "Warcraft III", "Defense of the Ancients", or "DotA" as it is more commonly known, has attracted a huge fanbase the world over. The basis of this game is to take on the role of a character in either the Scourge or the Sentinel, and, with the help of teammates, destroy the opposing team's Ancient, a large, heavily-defended structure found in their base. Several other full games have been created that are based on and inspired by "DotA", including "League of Legends" and "Heroes of Newerth".

"Brawl", like its predecessors, is a crossover fighting game, in which characters from many Nintendo and other games come together to battle it out in side-scrolling platform action. The usual suspects (Mario, Link, Pikachu, Fox, etc.) appear in the game, along with some new characters, including Ike from "Fire Emblem", King Dedede from the "Kirby" games, Lucario from fourth generation "Pokemon" games, and even Sonic, the blue hedgehog created by Sega.

The maniacal mini-gun wielding Russian who enjoys a good sandvich every now and again, the Heavy specialises in mowing down any enemies stupid enough to be in front of him. On his own, the Heavy can be a formidable opponent, but when he is assisted by a Medic who provides constant healing and the occasional burst of invulnerability (übercharge), then the Heavy really becomes a force to be reckoned with.

While the "EyeToy: Play" series can be played and enjoyed with one player, the fun really kicks off with more people. Players can compete against each other in a series of tournaments, each with several mini-objectives like winning a swimming race or being the first to blow up a balloon and burst it, or they can choose to take it in turns to complete a full game and see who gets the highest score. 'Be The Band' features in "EyeToy: Play 3", and allows players to play each of the instruments in a band - from drums and guitar to keyboard and trombone.
