However her stage debut came in the form of "The Singing Dream" 1936, the operetta from Richard Tauber.

Her first album, "Madonna" reached number 8 in the US Billboard Charts, but it was her second album, "Like a Virgin" that carried Madonna to the number 1 position in the charts, thus firmly cementing her in Pop History.
