Marty Jannetty and the 1-2-3 Kid had a short reign as champions in January 1994, by defeating The Quebecers (Pierre and Jacques) on the January 10, 1994 episode of "Raw". Unfortunately for the team of Jannetty and the 1-2-3 Kid, The Quebecers won the titles back exactly one week later. Sean Waltman (which is the real name of the 1-2-3 Kid) became the youngest wrestler at the time to win this title.

Throughout his career, the 1-2-3 Kid also held the WWF Tag Team Championship with Bob Holly and Kane. For Jannetty, on the other hand, this 1994 victory gave him his only tag team title in his WWF career.

Yokozuna was the reigning WWF Champion at the time. The 1994 "Royal Rumble" was held in Providence, Rhode Island on January 22, 1994. Before the main event, which was the classic 30-man battle royal, The Undertaker challenged Yokozuna for the title. Per the match's stipulation, the winner would be the first to place their opponent inside a ringside casket.

In the end, Yokozuna (with a lot of help from other superstars who interfered) won the match and retained his title. After this Pay Per View, The Undertaker was given time off to recover from an injury, although of course, WWF turned his absence into a storyline.

Answer: Two superstars won the match

The exciting 30-man Royal Rumble match had a surprising ending in the 1994 edition of the match. After Bret Hart eliminated Fatu and Lex Luger took care of Shawn Michaels, only Hart and Luger were left inside the ring. This finish made sense given the fact that those two superstars were the most likely candidates for Yokozuna's WWF Championship. At the end of the match, Hart and Luger simultaneously went over the top rope, generating a confusing situation where referees didn't know whose hand to raise. The WWF president, Jack Tunney, came to the ring and declared them co-winners of the match. This also meant that both men received a title match at "Wrestlemania X".

A similar situation happened at the 2005 Royal Rumble match, where John Cena and Batista touched the ground at the same time. "Raw" referees raised Batista's hand, but "Smackdown" officials declared Cena the winner. A furious Vince McMahon made his way to the ring and demanded the match be restarted. Incredibly, McMahon painfully tore both his quads while entering the ring!

"Wrestlemania X" was held on March 20, 1994 at New York City's Madison Square Garden. In addition to the night's various singles matches, the Pay Per View featured a Mixed Tag Team match that Bam Bam Bigelow and Luna Vachon won against Doink the Clown and Dink the Clown, a Falls Count Anywhere match in which "Macho Man" Randy Savage beat Crush, and a memorable Ladder match between Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels for the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

The "I Quit" match is a type of bout in which the only way to win is by having the opponent say those words, making it a variation of a submission match.

Since both Lex Luger and Bret Hart won the 1994 Royal Rumble match, they both received separate singles matches at what is arguably professional wrestling's biggest event. In the first title match, Luger got himself disqualified by pushing the referee, allowing Yokozuna to retain his WWF title.

In the first match of the night, Bret had lost against his brother, Owen Hart, in what ended up being the longest match of the night. However, Bret would redeem himself by defeating Yokozuna in a match where Roddy Piper acted as special guest referee. The new champion was celebrated by many superstars, but not by his brother Owen, who stared at him from the ramp.

Answer: Distributing anabolic steroids to wrestlers

In 1994, Vince McMahon faced a criminal case (United States v. McMahon) brought by the U.S. government before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. McMahon was charged with illegally providing steroids to the wrestlers in his company. This followed allegations that he was using the performance enhancers himself, and the conviction of former WWF doctor George Zahorian for the same charge. Even though the jury declared McMahon was "not guilty", the chairman put in place a new drug-testing policy in WWF that would later result in Crush getting fired.

WWE would continue to have publicized issues with its drug policies. These were brought to national attention again in 2007 following the murder-suicide incident involving Chris Benoit.

Answer: Razor Ramon

The 1994 "King of the Ring" tournament's final round took place on June 19, 1994 in Baltimore, Maryland. Razor Ramon made the final by leaving behind Bam Bam Bigelow and Irwin R. Schyster (I.R.S.) Owen Hart reached the final by defeating Tatanka and the 1-2-3 Kid. In the end, Hart would pin Ramon, earning the right to be crowned like his brother Bret was the year prior.

The "Summerslam" 1994 Pay Per View only had three title matches, and two of them ended with the reigning champion keeping their belt. However, one championship did change hands at this event. While WWF Women's Champion Alundra Blayze and WWF Champion Bret Hart retained their titles, by beating Bull Nakano and Owen Hart respectively, Diesel would lose his WWF Intercontinental Championship to Razor Ramon. Ramon had previously lost that title to Diesel in an episode of "Superstars" months before.

As is tradition, "Survivor Series" featured several elimination matches, which were won by The Bad Guys (Razor Ramon was the sole survivor after all other opponents were counted out following an argument between Diesel and Shawn Michaels), The Royal Family (which eliminated all of the Clowns Are Us team), and The Million Dollar Team (with Bam Bam Bigelow and King Kong Bundy emerging as winners after Bundy eliminated Lex Luger).

The main event of "Survivor Series" 1994 was a Casket Match between The Undertaker and Yokozuna, reminiscent of the match that these two men had at the "Royal Rumble" earlier that year. Given the excessive interference that occurred then, Chuck Norris was brought as an outside enforcer to make sure that didn't happen again. This time, Undertaker won the match.

Answer: WWF Tag Team Championship

The team of Diesel and Shawn Michaels had won the tag team titles at a house show on August 28, 1994. However, an incident during an elimination match at "Survivor Series" would irreparably hurt their relationship. During the match, Michaels accidentally kicked Diesel while trying to hit Razor Ramon.

Their argument outside the ring caused them to be counted out, allowing Ramon to win the match. They soon decided to disband as a tag team partnership, which meant that their WWF Tag Team Championships would have to be vacated and there would be no holder of the belts for the rest of the year.

The 1-2-3 Kid and Bob Holly would win the titles in a tournament held at the 1995 "Royal Rumble".
