Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Where is the largest joint in the body?

Answer: Knee

The knee joint is the largest and most complex joint in the body. It is more likely to be damaged than most other joints because it is subject to tremendous forces during vigorous activity.
2. Where was the world's first national park established?

Answer: United States of America

Yellowstone National Park was established in the states Wyoming, Idaho and Montana in 1872. The park has more geysers and hot springs than any other area in the world. North America's largest volcano system, the Yellowstone Caldera, is situated in Yellowstone. It has been termed a "supervolcano" because the caldera was formed by a massive eruption 640,000 years ago that was 1,000 times larger than when Mount St. Helens erupted in 1980.

Though the Bogd Khan Uul National Park in Mongolia claims to have been established in 1783, the claim is disputed as it was set apart as a holy monument and not a national park.

Answer: Ancient Egypt

The Egyptian magician Dedi gave a performance in which he decapitated two birds. He then reattached their heads and brought them back to life.

Edward Craven Walker was a native of Singapore. Whilst visiting a pub in Hampshire, England, he became fascinated by an egg-timer on the shelf behind the bar. The timer was essentially a blob of solid wax suspended in a clear liquid in a cocktail shaker.
