Tigger was the beloved tiger character created by A.A. Milne in 1926. He lived in the Hundred Acre Wood with Rabbit, Piglet, Eeyore, Owl, Kanga and Roo, Christopher Robin and, of course, Winnie the Pooh!

The team, based in Detroit, Michigan became the 2006 league champions. The name comes from a military unit called the Detroit Light Guard, who were known as "The Tigers".
