1. Which song received the most votes and topped the list?

Answer: The Cranberries - "Zombie"

"Zombie" was the first song to top the list which also went to number one in Australia. In total, it spent nearly two months at number one and was the seventh highest selling single in 1995.
2. Which song finished in 100th place?

Answer: Lisa Loeb - "Stay (I Missed You)"

"Stay (I Missed You)" was very successful upon its release, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. This makes the 1994 countdown have the rare distinction of having both the number one and number 100 songs being number one hits.
3. Which artist had the most entries in the countdown?

Answer: Soundgarden

Soundgarden managed to get four songs into the countdown. "Black Hole Sun" made number 22, "My Wave" made number 46, "Spoonman" made number 51, and "Fell on Black Days" made number 53.
4. Did any artist receive consecutive entries? (Example: 56 and 57)

Answer: Yes

The Offspring had one of the highest ever sets of songs when "Self Esteem" and "Come Out and Play" made numbers three and four respectively. Additionally, Counting Crows also had consecutive entries, with "Einstein on the Beach (For an Eggman)" and "Mr. Jones" making numbers 47 and 48.
5. What was the highest entry by an Australian artist?

Answer: Silverchair - "Tomorrow"

"Tomorrow" was the first single from Silverchair's debut album "Frogstomp". It reached number one in Australia and on the Modern Rock Tracks Chart in the United States. It was the band's highest entry in the countdown until 2007, when "Straight Lines" made number two, missing out by 13 votes.
6. An artist from which part of Britain made the top ten?

Answer: Wales

Welsh singer Tom Jones was the only British artist to make the top ten, making number nine with "If I Only Knew". Before 1998, Tom Jones was the only Welsh artist to make countdown, as Catatonia, a Welsh band, made the countdown in that year.
7. How many entries were by Australian artists?

Answer: 26

Although Australian entries only made up 26 songs, seven of these made the top 20. This was a significant inprovement, as the 1993 countdown only featured one Australian entry in the top 20.

Answer: Green Day

They achieved this with "Longview" making number 18 and "Basket Case" at number 24.
The Grid made number 44 with "Swamp Thing".
Gin Blossoms made number 61 with "Hey Jealousy".

Answer: 1991

Nirvana made number seven in 1994 with "About a Girl", which was their third song to reach the top ten in the countdown. Their most notable entry was in 1991, when "Smells Like Teen Spirit" made number one.
10. Which song from the list placed the highest in the 1994 Hottest 100 of All Time countdown?

Answer: Nine Inch Nails - "Closer"

"Closer" was the highest of two Nine Inch Nails songs in the Hottest 100 of All Time, making number 14. It just missed out in the 1994 countdown, making number two.
Smashing Pumpkins - "Today" made number 40.
The Offspring - "Self Esteem" made number 80.
Silverchair - "Tomorrow" made number 59.
