Answer: Jet - "Are You Gonna Be My Girl?"

"Are You Gonna Be My Girl?" was the first single from Jet's debut album "Get Born". Of all the artists who have topped the list, Jet is the one with the shortest name. The song achieved international success, charting in the United Kingdom and The United States.
2. Which song made number 100 in the countdown?

Answer: The Cat Empire - "The Chariot"

The Cat Empire also achieved number 100 with "Party Started" in 2005.
Junior Senior - "Move Your Feet" reached number 87.
The Strokes - "Reptilia" reached number 83.
Metallica - "St. Anger" reached number 61.
3. Which band achieved three top ten entries?

Answer: Powderfinger

Powderfinger achieved a record three entries into the top ten of the countdown. These entries were "(Baby I've Got You) On My Mind" at number four, "Sunsets" at number seven, and "Love Your Way" at number ten. In addition to this, they had two other entries.

Five entries in one year is a big achievement for any artist. The White Stripes made it into the countdown with "Seven Nation Army" at number three, "The Hardest Button to Button" at number 14, "Girl, You Have No Faith In Medicine" at number 89, "I Just Don't Know What to Do with Myself" at number 93, and "In the Cold, Cold Night" at number 94.
