1. Which song was voted in at number one?

Answer: Franz Ferdinand - "Take Me Out"

In 2004, Franz Ferdinand became the first Scottish band to top the list. In the United Kingdom, it became the band's first top five hit, reaching number three. It was less successful in Australia, where it only managed a peak of 25.
2. How many more votes did the number one song receive than the number two song?

Answer: Twice as many

It was a well regarded fact that Franz Ferdinand were going to win. It was mentioned various times in the countdown, including a presenter saying that everyone was wrong when their song "The Dark of the Matinée" made number 50.
3. A cover of the number one song also made the countdown. Who performed the cover?

Answer: Scissor Sisters

Scissor Sisters' cover of "Take Me Out" made it to number 44. This is the first time that a cover of the number one song has made the countdown. The first time that a song was voted in twice in the same countdown was in 1998, when Jebediah made number seven with "Harpoon", while Something For Kate's cover of it made number 85.

In 2008, MGMT made number five with "Kids", but The Kooks' cover of it missed out on the countdown, only making number 161.

Answer: William Shatner

William Shatner made it into the countdown with his cover of Pulp's song "Common People", which was voted in at number 21. He was 73 years old when the song was released.
